whats to drool over .... thats the ugliest color ever, the guy is paranoid enough about his paint job to put on painters tape, but too much of a pussy to take the front plate off the car because whatever will he do if the cops give him a $10 fix it ticket. Nice motor but other than that garbage.

i really honestly do hope youre kidding melt. the motor is enough to drool over. it definetely is one of the best 6th gens ive ever seen. ranks among the top 10

I dont see whats so appealing about some red seats, an ugly puke yellow looking color not matter how nice the quality of the paint job, and a hood that looks like it fits like ass even though it was done intenitally, and a perfectly good front end ruined by a front plate that also isnt mounted correctly.

I guess he asked for the ugliest colour around. I cannot even think of an uglier colour than that!

Okay, back to the topic at hand, reasoning for raising the hood was to release the heat that was usually caught up inside the engine compartment.......used to see it alot on cars that had carbs or individual throttle bodies....but it works well with turbo cars as well....... underhood temp drops dramatically....all you would need is four 3/4 inch spacers(washers, small metal ipe works too)and some seriously longer bolts from the hardware store, bolt the spacers between the hood and the hinges....and there ya go..........just gotta deal with the retarded comments........L8rs

some guys tested that out with a b swapped civic... with the hood vent the temp actually rose. instead of the access heat flow out from under the car.. it would flow over the motor out the hood raising the temps of the top area of the engine bay. I was going to try it out myself till i saw this guys right up.. it was a pretty good wright up to

Well unless the air temp gauge was wrong, runnin at 90 to 100mph the temp was reduced by almost 30%.....so when the cars is pushed well above normal criteria I know that the heat was being removed, yes even if its over the motor and is still going to be cooler than just baking itself in the engine compartment with air not moving at all...........especially runnin at constant 4500 to 6000 rpm

i dont think that would be the case... its just not logical... ive never tested it i therefore can not say you are wrong.. but you have a box.. with heat in it.. the more holes you put in the box the easier it will be for the heat to escape... this is pretty much that.. at least thats how i would think that it works..
