yea, so my KA sprung a leak....it was my first problem with it ever but i was still fed up with having a clunky dinosaur motor in my car. I decided that it was finally time for an upgrade so i called up my buddies at Kasu Racing down in Rockford, IL to see what they could do for me. We agreed on an engine/price and i brought my car down there to have the work done. I'm in college full time so there was no way i could have gotten a swap done before the drift season started. this was my only way to guarantee that my car would be good to go for DD20 on April 27th.

anyways. I have a some pics of the beginnings of the swap. i'll be posting up more pics as the swap progresses.

so without further adieu, heres the only pictures i have so far.

holy s**t, i never thought i would see the day

squeeky clean!

my engine bay was coated in some nasty grimy undercoating from the factory, HUGE props to the guys at kasu for scrubbing that s**t out, i didnt even ask them to do any of that.

I better be seeing an SR20, 2JZ, RB or something pretty going in there . Hell even an LS1 would be a nice peppy motor to thrown in there.

Looking good. You going to have them tuck it as well or just put in the new motor? What motor you go with?

I didnt even ask them to clean the engine bay, they want it to look good when all is said and done, i'm sure it wont be an all out wire tuck, but there will be no rats nest in my engine bay. it will look good.

I would, but one of my friends needed the motor so i gave it to him, i dont have rights to the VC anymore.

your 240 is the same color as mine with the same stupid rust on the drivers side framerail. fix that s**t with the motor out, and replace your leaking brake master cylinder. that rust happens when th e m/c leaks, the brake fluid peels the paint and the bare metal rusts.

the engine bay is as dirty as hell, you can still see oil spots. Way to have only one racing seat and it looks like you need a new paint job.

idk what that is in the pic, but its not rust. all the rust on my framerail was fixed and undercoated. as for the BMC, it doesnt leak anymore, it was replaced some time ago by the previous owner. the old one must have leaked onto the booster.

i only want one racing seat, making your passenger have to climb into a bucket is for the lose and for an 18 y/o car my paint is in damn good shape, i just havent had the chance to really clean it this spring.

nah, this is goin on down in rockford, i'm stuck up at school here in green bay i'm just being updated with pics as s**t progresses.

looks like good progress so far, it'll be cool to see it when its done, a friend of mine put an sr20 in his a while back and it looked neat, and was cool for the day or so that it ran, and after that it was gay.
