im running it now. from what my tuner said it can do anything. no problems with it so far. tuned on 750's. i havent bin tuned on anything else so i cant compare it to anything.

only thing i really play with is the boost build/2step :D before i got tuned, i made sure he had that s**t.

They are still working out bugs in the software, that some how didn't get cleaned up before the release to the public.

But a good bit of people are running it.

im not seeing enough benefits to turn away from crome.

crome has alot and has been out for quite sometime with alot of people using it.
it has a ton of boost features, datalogging, rtp, boost control for each gear, boost cutoff, and all this other stuff to make life easier lol. plus at $150 im guessing it will still be cheaper than ectune, plus your able to tune more than one car...which ive read ectune made sure not to allow mulitple tunes on differnet cars without the dealer license.

I am going to have to disagree with you on this.

I don't think crome is anywhere near the quality of eCtune or Neptune or Hondata. It has a lot of bugs and the programs are hardly throughly tested before release. Which is why I stopped using it.

i agree 100%. crome is fine for the DIY guy on a budget, but when you start wanting a system that will run your car perfectly like an OEM turbo vehicle, it just doesnt stand up to ECtune, Hondata, etc.

cant argue with that, i am coming from the diy aspect.

im still anticipating the ACTUAL release of their single car version...i hope it doesnt break $200.

i talked to zex_cool who bought the initial single car license and he said $250

$250 is cheap for what is being claimed that ECtune can do

I have been using eCtune since Nov. and it has been by far a pleasure. It has a TON of features and the best part about it is everything really works. There have been a couple of bugs (I have experienced 1 personally) but majority have been minor (data playback, saving and connecting issues) but Calvin is all over them and they are quickly resolved.

I have used Crome for a couple of years and I always had issues with it. It took a longtime to get the car running decent and then after a couple of days the car would lean itself out or richen up, I would make changes to the IAT, ECT compensations and it would be fine until a few days would pass and then it would do it all over again. It got to a point where I was actually afraid to leave the house without the laptop. Datalogging would lock up, or miss cells, CEL's ugh I can go on and on. I just couldn't take it anymore and was just about to go out and get a Hondata system and then the whole lawsuit against Dave Blundell came about and I refused to get any Hondata product.

Then I found eCtune. After months of waiting he finally let people start to buy pre-released versions and I snatched it up. Went out to the garage and made a basemap and within 10 minutes the car was up and running and the idle was rock steady. Took it out for some street tuning and after 2 hours the car was running better than I ever got it running with Crome. The car runs smooth as silk, no more of the previous issues I was having and I can go out with the car without having to carry a laptop with me, ah, peace of mind !

As for how it compares to Neptune, I have never used it but eCtune has more features though from what I understand the Neptune software is solid. I also can't compare it to Hondata as I never used it and after the whole lawsuit thing, they will never see a dime from me. If I had no other choices, I would actually switch back to Crome.

Have you actually tried crome's EBC? Because last I checked it barely if at all worked properly. eCtune's EBC works very well.

Heck, eCtune is so cool that I have one set of gear based boost levels for street tires, and at the flip of a switch in the cabin I can tell eCtune to change to my high boost-per gear setup. Way cool. And that is just scratching the surface of all the cool features it has.

You can't even really compare eCtune to crome... I have personally switched a all motor car that was making around 220whp on crome and picked up close to 10whp -- I am guessing due to eCtune's proper ignition control?

Just trying to give you some insight into why eCtune is so nice =)

plus your able to tune more than one car...which ive read ectune made sure not to allow mulitple tunes on differnet cars without the dealer license.
1) I believe John requires a Tuner license of CROME to "legally" be able to tune multiple cars unless he has changed that...

2) You can purchase additional car licenses for eCtune if you need to tune multiple cars.

Need more info on eCtune for those using it.
How is it so far, have you find it much better than whatever is out there?

Don't really know if somebody ask this already but being that sometimes an X name of wideband works better with X Software being used.

SO what works better with ECtune?

Im a super beginer so i will need a lot of info about the minimum system requirements. the eCtune will need?
