true im not a fan of ford but the truck has a huge ass trunk with 24 mpg which isnt that bad... my dads goign from a liberty to edge...so the way he sees it is hes going from 17 mpg to 24 mpg and to a car with about 2 tmes as much space...so i dont know

if it was up to me he should get the volvo c30 but still trunk space is an issue with it...we'll see tonigth after he test drives the edge

the sub outback is a very close second for him, i keep telling him to give in a get a crew cab pickup like a colorado or some thing but hes against pickups because of winter driving

my girls mom got that mazda cx7 truck or what ever its called, and shes happy with it. not one thing has happened in the year shes owned it. im not domestic bashing, some domestics are built very well, i just dont trust ford vehicles almost as much as i dont trust chrysler.

Why do you say that? Ford knows how to build trucks and thats it. My friend TOny and his dad have had Ford trucks ever since i can remember and never had any serious issues with them. Hell is ranger from like 89 is still running and hauling tools.

because fords are pieces of s**t.....for every one person you say you know that they worked out for them, i have 4-5 people telling me theyre crap.
i personaly have owned about 8 fords(including trucks) that have all been s**t. i kept buying them because they were cheap and disposable
my dad who was a ford tech for about 30 years and he always was against me owning a ford.
the diesels are good though, but with a national average of over 5buks per gallon, not worth it.

Diesels are worth it IMO even at $5 a gallon, you're getting more back on fuel efficiency plus reliability plus ungodly amounts of torque.

The thing is we aren't talking about ford trucks, you really think the ford edge is built on a truck chassis? I guarantee it's based off some sedan chassis with truck like suspension. Probably that 500 whatever new age taurus thing.

fords are garbage. the only good ford is the aerostar. a few of my uncles had windstars and the trannys went bad on all of them, my mom had one too and the tranny went on that too.

tranny went on our tailblazer probabaly from towing my brothers boat, personally every car factory has its ups and downs...the edge is liek the last "ok" gas mileage truck...

so we got two options

Ford Edge
24,000 (not exact but close to)
gunmetal gray
dark leather interior
microsoft sync
upgraded stereo whatever the f**k that was
trailer package
we got them to take the "brother" package off (took the tvs in the headrests out, we wouldnt use them and its just asking to be stolen later on)

or

Ford Flex
30,000 (not sure again on exactness)
trailer package
2 tone interior
sync s**t and upgraded stereo
light color leather interior
trailer package
we even got them to take the 20s off and put the stock 18s back on
vista roof


most likely getting the edge today or within the next week sometime

ps there giving us 5500 for a 2003 gmc envoy white with 97k miles

They were just talking about it on the news...... How when it gets Africa hot there in Chicago all the warm surface water gets pushed over to our side of the lake and all the cold deep water surfaces up on your side.


West Michigan was noted to have some of the nicest beaches in the world or country ( I can't remeber the which one ). I do remember tho when Mtv was traveling all over one year to the best beaches and they came here.

the water in lake michigan has been really warm this year though like 68 in Hammond at the beginning of the season which is rare usually it starts around 64 65...you'd think all that rain we got in the beginning of the summer would have f**ked with everything but it surprisingly didnt
