Damn cops

I got to chat with a member of the WI state trooper department this evening on the side of the interstate in Madison.

Got warnings for: following to close x2, failure to signal, amplified exhaust, failure to display front plate, and unsafe lane change.

I talked him out of window tint, because the front is legal, I just didn't mention that the rear wasn't. The failure to signal was crap because I did signal, he said I didn't leave it on until I was done moving lanes, what BS! Unsafe lane change was I supposedly cut off a semi, when they drive 3 wide down the interstate and only drive 65 they deserve to be cut off. At least they didn't get me for 80 in a 65 which is what I was traveling when he pulled me over!

After giving me my official warning he proceeded to tell me I got a HUGE break and "your driving is extremely shitty" he gave me a 2 minute speech on how to merge back into traffic.

It was dark when he pulled me over and I could see that he was supprised to find a 23 year old behind the wheel and not a young punk kid. Cops seriously need to leave us alone!

What a fun time that was!

but by the way you describe it, it sounds like you deserved the fines. cop was just doing his job and at least he was cool about it.

oh and my father happens to be a truck driver. i've rode with him countless times and trust me, you don't want to be cutting them off. i've seen too many stupid asses cause bad wrecks for not respecting 18-wheelers. (some truckers DO suck at driving though)

Truck drivers should stick to the 2 slow lanes. I sometimes see truckers in the 3rd lane causing traffic. Uggh, its soo annoying.

i was drivin down a street called baseline that goes towards the sac int'l airport and the speed limit is 60, at least it was wen i drove it. i was doin the speed limit wen a big rig came behind me, rode MY ass, then proceeded to try and pass me in the lane of opposite traffic wen it was clear(still illegal tho) that was some funny s**t. first time for everything huh?

You should see what happens to IL drivers when they get pulled over by WI state troopers. They especially seem to hate us. I got pulled over just after I crossed the border on I-90 back when I had my STi. Sucker had nothing on me except he thought I was driving a stolen vehicle. He let me go after checking my plates and told me to watch myself driving through WI.


But anyway, yeah... kinda sounds like you deserved it. Even though the cop could have been less of a d**k.

What do Oklahoma State Troopers do all day long?

They look for the Lone Star flag in the middle of the tag.

You can fly by an Okie trooper at 80 running open headers on your 89 Chevrolet truck with no real brakes, plastic bag for a window and a brown door as long as you have Okie plates. Don't try it with a legal and safe car with Texas plates.

damn luck was on your side. that happen to me one time. i was going 58 on a 45 zone on the right lane and there was a semi on the left lane and so i was too concentrating on to try pass the semi that i forgot to lookout for the damn cop. as soon as i pass the semi and bam i look in the back rearview mirror and there was a damn pig pulled out and speeds after me. so i was sure i got busted for that. stupid ass pig told me i was doing 58.

I half way agree on that. but there are times when the two slow lanes are occupied by slow, shitty drivers. or people doing the speed limit or less in the fast lane. slow drivers in the fast lane in what pisses me off
