So yeah, this is my first car, I bought it in July, right before school started. I have always wanted a civic, so this car made me very happy.

It is a 1997 Honda Civic DX, 5-speed, with about 98k miles on it. Sucks it has NO power anything...

I plan on keeping it for about 4 -6 years, if i keep it for 4 years i will buy an Si, if I keep it for 6 years, i am going to get a WRX.

Anyways, this is what it looked like when I bought it:

i think you have a good platform. i like the white.. i would stay away from the interior neon, but its not my car..

once you get a drop and some nice wheels it will look clean..

Anyways, how much should I lower my car? I was thinking 1.5 inches lower, what do you guys recomend?

Its a fresh start man, lots of work to be done if you want to make it 'your own'. I bought my civic a little over a year ago after my accord died, and the only things I have done are remove the cold air and replace it with a stock airbox and put some bottlecaps on it. *shrugs* all in good time man.

That's a good start man, it'll look nice lowered and with the new wheels. You could also do the 99-00 conversion, I think the 99-00 tails look awesome on white cars..

u dont need new struts to lower it. and lower it like 3 inches... wheel gap is for posers..

It would look much better if you painted the grills back to trim black, then drop and wheels.

In Civics only, each sticker adds like +50 whp.

Anyways, I DO have coil over SLEVES. I know i could drop it right now, but I will have the bounciest ride ever.

So i am going to buy struts made for lowered cars. Also, when I am going about ~100mph it feels like it is about to fly out of the road, so i NEED better suspension. I might lower it just 2 inches. Naperville are kind of pricks, headlights MUST be at least 20 inches from ground....

And yeah, I am getting "civic Si" tail lights (red/clear) i hate the red/amber combination....

And I am getting wheels when all this damn snow melts. I am thinking 16 inch 7-spoke silver or gun-metal with tires with a 35 or 40 profile.

I also bought this grill, the one that has no H and that stuff on it, it is black, i'll take picks when installed...

nice start, have a good car. but yea it needs a drop bad, and i live in naperville too and my car has like a 2.5 drop and i havnt gotten pulled over or anything so you should be good. and no neons
