I think people just gravitate towards it for some reason. I go to the tireplace to pick up rubber and the guy with a lifted truck starts asking me questions.
Stop at the fire station and the chief comes out to look at the car with a couple of the guys and they ask a ton of questions. It's weird.
I think up here it's just a rarity to see this car, I've only seen one other RSX in my daily travels up here.
Had an old dude ask me "What the hell is that?" last night. I said it's an Acura and he said "Is that like Lexus?" lol
while stock hondas DO suck and ARE slow.. if your car is really close to 6000lbs and you are making under 300hp you would probably be LUCKY to be somewhere in the 15s on a good day.. which is hardly fast enough to be mocking other slow cars... what you are doing here "my slow car is faster than your slow car"
Civic's are slow. Deal with that. Yes, we fix them up cuz we like the scene. Some go for the looks, others go for the hp. Sadly we have a bad rep for some peeps being very stupid and trying to race everyone on the street.

a little history: i'm a toyota guy. owned a gt-four, owned an XRS corolla, owned 2 MR2s amongst other things. so my decision to go civic was an interesting one. my reason: civic's are cheap and parts are plentiful. my civic is my daily, i still hold true to my toyota roots.
beside that, i really don't like them. for me it's the same reason i don't like gixxers. the greater majority of people that own them tend to be immature.

I guess i can be called a ricer, really dont give a s**t, i get 40MPG, and a reasonably 0 - 60 in ~ 6.8 - 7.1 secs... enought to rock my boat.

Your 0-60 times aren't anywhere near those numbers.
get someone with a stop watch to time you, and then be prepared to be disappointed.he also thinks his dx makes 120hp.. i think that is just a WEE bit high..
