The new motor is what draws me to the Riced out white one. Its legit with all the reciepts...The car also has new everything else. Bet that I dont like the fact it ricer heaven in the cuntpit but man its hard to pass on all those new parts with recipets in favor of a stocker with all old stuff on it.

These cars certainly take time to buy. I'm not in a hurry. I have a few to go look at in Denver today....

I'd give $3800 for it. But I'd for sure put some different wheels on it, the red lip and blue calipers and drums are just clashing. This car isn't completely riced out, looks as if it may have been a show car, Interior would look decent without the headliner and just the seats, no leather, and not blue. But the best thing to do is to find one that's completely stock, that way when he looks at his car he'll know it's his. Just always low ball, the car I bought was listed for $4750, the week before it'd been $5000, my dad offered him $3800 he took it.
Yeah I'm thinking in that range if not less.

This is what pushes me that way Bro!
New battery.

Brand new clutch, water pump and seals

New cv axles

New timing belts

New JDM motor

All w/ reciepts

receipts dont matter for aftermarket stuff..
they dont add value to the car and preventative maintenance doesnt add value either, it just gives u peace of mind that it might not blow up on you the instant u drive it off the lot.

if u have any technical or automotive expertise, then a civic is perfect for u and ur son whether it has 50,000 or 300,000 miles it will work fine.

engine swaps are easy and everyting else bolts on.
u have shops up there to tune if u decided to go turbo or anything else..

i would get a hatchback. they are more practical and if he wants to mod it "jdm" he would have beter luck.

i picked up a 92 si in longmont five years back or so and i know there are bone stock civics all over denver for a steal, so keep looking and good luck.

btw, i didnt stop to look at that si, but it looked decent, so sorry for the misleading info...

Its the biggie things...The timing belt, the motor, the CV joints, Battery etcc..etc.. I wish that car didnt have all that extra crapola. A TV? WTF does anyone need a TV for?

I just dont want a worn out smelly 250,000 mile turd Bro. Everyone of these cars i have looked at seem to become garbage at 180,000 miles. Worn out seats, worn out feel....Really want one at 100K or less! Gonna go check out the silver one Sk8r hooked me up with for 2900.00 its a bone stocker with 110.000 from a little dealer with an even "Littler" warranty!

Stop that BRo. You saw an SI and let me know it was there. Nothing misleading about that! I would kinda like to get the kid an SI...Just one with about 100K for less than the 7-8 grand they seem to be bringing if they are nice.

You know I actually enjoy car shopping. Its weird tho' as it aint the kill itself...Its the thrill of the chase!;)

BTW...I'm an acive forum guy over at my KTM offroad as well as my Harley forum. I know forums. This is a good one. I came to the right place fo' sho.

Maybe after I buy the kid a car I will get him hooked up with you guys.....Put some hurting on my credit card as he nags me for bits and pieces!!

The easy way out was just to buy him a new one 07-08 maybe even an 09 on some special APR program....Then I called my Ins agent.

Ummmm....Yeah that.

I even looked at and drove the new ones. I actually dont like them. I hated the speedo cluster, despised the weirdo shifter, and really disliked the pricing!!

I had an 07' GTI last year that I traded in for a 09' Tacoma 4x4 for my Wife. She couldnt even get the GTI outta the driveway when it snowed. I was gonna give the boy the GTI but he was a year away from his license and it was a VW after all. VW's and Kids? Bad mix.

This was a solid little car tho. Thing drove real good so long as there wasnt any snow on the ground!

car shopping is fun to me also.

i was just saying if u are planning on modding the hell out of the car then it doesnt matter if it feels worn out.
it is the fun of bringing it back to life.
new struts/coilovers, new bushings, new exhaust, new seats, new carpet, new b series or whatever swap u like. u can transform these cars to be just like u and be brand new minus whatever the chassis mileage is, but new paint and a complete restore are still cheap and are great father son activities to do together.

i guess its a double edged knife. im the same way. i want a clean car, but ive also had the beaters that ive put a lot of work into, and those are the cars ive learned the most from and had the hardest time getting rid of..

I put a buncha work into this beater that was gonna be my Euro tuner guy car. Then I got remarried. Biatch destroyed it in no time!! This was a sweet lil' Beemer. I had to sell it as our new house has some HOA crap and wont let us park cars in the street. Man I miss living in the Ghetto!! I know what you mean Bro. Selling my little beater Beemer was harder than all the new cars i have bought and sold combined!! Man that car had my blood on the bolts...And a few chunks of knuckle skin....

Thats worse than sad Bro. Thats pathetic!!

If that car turns out to be "The One" I may hafta call the interior freaks who created that hideous scheme and see what they could do about replacing all the ghey ass Luis panelling with something a bit more....Livable?

Sheese my kid may fvckin' love that creepy s**t!!

Now that would be harsh. I asked the sellor when he first sent me photos of it was a chicks car. He responded with this LOL! :

Me: Sorry to be a pest....Is this a Girls car by chance? Smoked in?

Chuck.

Sellor: far from a girls car this is a pimps car who loves girls
this is every thing done to this car clean title and in perfect running condition this is a treat at a very good price
.

I almost spit my morning coffee on my computer screen!!

If a gay porn star drove an old 96' Civic? Something tells me it would alot like this one!!!

Hope that silver one works out for you, like i was saying. It's better to start from the bottom and work your way up. If your kid is going to be getting into the clean honda's then even something with 200k on it isnt going to be a big deal. Plan on replacing the suspension/bushings/etc. and just upgrade as you go. It's just a pain in the ass to un-do someones bad work, thats kinda how my car started and now 4 years into it I FULLY regret buying it and wish i would of started with a clean, OEM everything car.

Hell, the shell of my car has 250+k miles on it (lost count after swapping from my factory cluster, to an LS, and now to a GSR) but everything under the car (suspension, bushings, bolts, etc.) only have about 20k on them and the car is VERY solid.

Silver one sold an hour before I got there.

White Luis Vahttan edition was hideous, had no seat belts, the steering wheel ahd been replaced so it had no air bag and the interior was comical.

Found an 02' with 70K original miles in abosolutely bone stock condition.

Problem is the guy thinks its worth 6 grand!!

Gonna work on that one. Should have one bought by weeks end!!
