just wanted to make some of u aware unless this happens to you or what to watch out for!
luckily, i think i handled it pretty well, and didnt get screwed out of more than 3o bucks..
i have been a victim of scamming before. i recieved $10,000 for a car i sold on ebay for fraudulent money orders and have been very weary ever since since it f**ked my credit and bank account badly.
on to the story at hand:
we had a deal on selling the racing harts but she was skeptical about sending money before the wheels shipped and i was skeptical about sending the wheels without money. So i decided i would see if there was a way to figure this all out and thought over it for a few days. well finally i decided i was going to either ship one wheel at a time and after i got payment i would ship another or ship one box full of phone books or somehting and after i recieved payment i would send the real shipment and send $100 back for sending and empty box..
she told me once she recieved a tracking she would send me $1500(which is more than i want for the wheels+ shipping) which had me wondering in the first place, but i had had conversations with her and she seemed legit. we talked about metal and hondas and about how she's supposedly pregnant and how im having a baby. she talked about karma and how she wouldnt screw me over even though i had a bad feeling about it the whole time. i guess i shouldve gone with my gut. ive had these wheels for sale for like 10 months i think and there was no reason to jump into getting screwed. if they hadnt sold by now, it was still no rush. they are super rare rims and i know there is a buyer out there that wants them.
so anyway, i went to get a shipping quote and them put in boxes and packaged. i told the guy at the shipping place my predicament and he had a solutuion. or atleast we thought..
he told me he could create a ghost tracking number that would show up in fedex's datatbase and once i recieved payment all i had to do was call and he would ship the rims after i made sure the money was legit(i was using paypal if i ever got payed btw).
well we did this last saturday and the numbers never showed up in the system so we figured it would once monday came around due to the weekend updates.. well monday they still hadnt shown up and this girl was acting like she was ready to pay and whenever she gets tracking numbers that work the money will be sent. so i went running all over town to see what i could get done and finally ended up calling fedex customer service. come to find out, the boxes have to be scanned to go into the database, so i had to make the tough decision to ship the rims without payment or say f**k it. so i decided to ship them knowing that i had about a day and a half to get the wheels back after they had been shipped for minimal fees on my end. so about 5 o'clock monday the tracking numbers show up that the packages are en route so i tell her to send payment. she says she will do it when she gets home. when she gets home she says the power is out. u know ill take a few for the team to get $1500, but something was fishy. well, i had to go to work to work graveyards at the mine and i have an hour and a half drive there, so i told her to send payment and i would check on it on my way to work. well she said she would send it when the power came back on and about that time i lose service. i told the ol lady to keep checking my payapal for money while i was at work.
well today when i get off and get back into service i have a few texts from my gf and a few texts from the possible buyer.
the ones from my gf say she didnt pay blah blah blah.
the ones from this girl say her bf was arrested and he got a dui. ok, sounded like an excuse and she knew the rims were in transit so what better way to get out of paying no?
then she tells me in a later message that he bailed himslef out and she can still pay and will pay after work tomorrow(today, tuesday).
well she wont return any of my calls or texts so i canceled shipment and she has until 10 am tomorrow to pay or they will be headed back to me.
so i guess ill let u guys know if it completely falls through, but it seems really fishy to me.

Why it even crossed your mind to ship the rims before hand is beyond me.
