im don;t understand Tony's nore Shane's theory behind offset. I've taken the time to illustrate my theory. Sorry boys, but i just want to be on the same page as your guys

if this is not correct, someone correct me please.

Rey, i think you should be ok with +35(im takin a guess at your oem offset), heck, i can prolly pull that off(camber applies).

As you can see. my civic wouldn't handle negative offset.

I'm pretty sure you have the axle on the wrong side or at least that's how I was thinking it.....

Oh wait i thought of the axle on the wrong side.....

Zero Offset - The plane of the hub mounting surface is even with the centerline of the wheel.

Positive Offset - The plane of the hub mounting surface is shifted from the centerline toward the front or outside of the wheel. Positive offset wheels are generally found on front wheel drive cars and newer rear drive cars.

Negative Offset - The plane of the hub mounting surface is toward the back or brake side of the wheel's centerline.

"Deep dish" wheels typically have negative offset or a very low positive offset.

the "blooming flower" effect comes from a low to negative offset.

Shane and my "theory" isnt our theory. Its our knowledge with wheels.

Rey will be screwed with a +35 et. +35et on a Subaru is WAY TOO much. Although your illustration is exactly what I explained.

Correct-o-mundo! Nice work Hector!.. My eom offset is +55.. big ass wheels!!
+55 doesnt mean big wheels. you can have +55 with 15 inch wheels. Your argument is completely without merit.

For Hecz... +35 offset.. and staggered by width and depth....... its a beautiful thing...
Staggared? do you know what that means? it the difference in the circumference between the front and the rear wheels. 19's in the back 18's in the front for example. offset is NOT staggered.

basically, oem offset of a Subaru is +48. Going +35 is INSANE. so from a +55et going to a +35et is even more retarded.

You all need to do more research, and realize that even though +55 to a +35 is an INSANE amount of offset. Have fun with the unsafe car.

besides all the bullshit arguing, I fuking doubt it'll happen anyway.

So next up, do we want to argue how retarded wheels spacers are?
