Your service provider can provide you with the puk code. Chances are the last rep you got was an idiot.
If you unlock the locked simcard you will still have service because the provider never deactivated the sim card on their side. They don't just randomly do that.
You will not loose any data if you replace the sim card as all information is on the flash memory of the iphone not the sim card.
also if you call your provider they can unlock certain phones. The iphone is not one of those phones however.
so in conclusion call your provider back and get the puk. if the rep can't find it escalate to a tech, if they can't help talk to tier two. If they wont proide you with one you have two options. Get a new sim card or wait for the one to get to you through the mail.

LMFAO!!!!all you need is the standard house key....insert it into the sim card slot and twist it. you might hear what sounds like cracking, but thats how its supposed to work, its the tumblers falling into place.
