im going to lay and lay this out for you people...

were going to have this thread.

you as the people will get into a heated political discussion... this is normal as we all have different views on politics.

things you can discuss here:

* the economy
* how the president is handling the country
* the war
* world disasters and the american government response
* current political scandals...
* current open issues such as healthcare, bank bailouts, unemployment... things of this.

i am allowing you to talk about these problems openly.

i am not allowing you to call someone a moron, a*****e, cunt, d**k, mother f**ker... because he thinks differently about an issue than you do.

you want to get into an argument about politics with someone... thats fine... just refrain yourself from bein an a*****e...

sarcasm will be tolerated.

im asking for the assistance in the staff to distribute infractions accordingly. please dont award an infraction for an argument. only award one for a name calling or things like that...

on to the name calling rules.

you can call someone a political term... such as.. a realist, liberal, close minded, open minded, hardcore republican, fascist, rebel... whatever...

just dont call someone an a*****e republican.. or a f**king racist. or things like this.

the president... we know he is a black man... we know his background as an american can be questioned...

however... the term "black man" is going to be used loosely here

so you can call him a nigger, african american, black dude, negro... whatever... because... your views on the president are your views. if i choose to call the president a nigger... thats my choice.. it should not turn into a racial dispute over people... and noone should be calling me a racist for it. you dont know how i see black people and niggers... so therefore you cant call me a racist...

so lets see how this goes.. i see it going well with the proper participation...

but warning... dont be surprised if you get banned for breaking the rules. that being said... i shouldnt see anyone get banned for thier political discussion. if i do... this thread will magically dissapear...

OP are you calling the President a nigger? What does that word mean to you anyways? and how can we not call you a racist if the word nigger was used to slander African american slaves in a negative, racist way?

"current open issues in America" should include the racism in America so that should be a discussing matter as well.

I was with the OP until the racism thing.

President is doing a crap job and spends more time campaigning for s**t than anything else. Claims he wants bipartisan work but then goes and campaigns for that windbag woman in Massachusetts.

Also the party system should be abolished.

^please elaborate on what this means. His plummeting approval ratings are a sign that he is not doing a good job. Grow the deficit and continue to send troops to Afghanistan...did he learn nothing from Russian involvement over there?

Obama is a puppet. He is a marketable figure for a country that is failing

maybe we need a political topic of the day? this could go in so many directions so fast.

the party system being abolished could be another good topic to discuss about.

i agree that the party system should be abolished... but that would change the whole government system.

i think the electoral college should be abolished.. and majority of the popular vote wins. if an election is up to the people.. then the popular vote should win.

i also think all issues should be put to a people vote. and if its within a margin that is deemed even... it should then be put to a vote among the house and senate.

see video...

and then... i wont call the slaves niggers.... i wsant around for that period... nor was i around for segregation... so... i will call them slaves because thats what they were.

heres a good example that shows the way i feel....

malcolm X.... he was a nigger...

martin luther king... he was a black man.

there is a clear difference in those 2.

another example... the dude on the corner selling drugs.... hes a nigger

the man running the barber shop... hes a black man.

its all in the attitude and it changes with everyone. so i can see you one day as a black man... and the next as a nigger... just depend on how you would like to act.

I'm going to ask you guys to step away from the "N word" as it could be viewed as offensive by some on the board. It is very dangerous to be throwing that word around as much as it is being thrown on here. The second one person becomes offended by it, it is worthy of an infraction.

Id like to Highlight Points about the economy and how people are blaming our government. However it is partly true however its not just the US that has this problem its the WORLD economy that has taken a dive so trying to bring Our economy up with the world economy still down is like trying to build a car with a team of people and only one person is doing the work. it takes a group effort to make an effective dent in the problem at hand. and i think the average american loves to point blame on our Gov because its easy however that same average american cant name more 5 european countries. They are focused on Our gov as the driving force instead of realizing that We cant do it alone Our president has been passed a great burden and he alone cant do it. I understand that many people have quarrels with the way he is running things but look at the big picture if you were in his shoes and you were trying to fix the economic problem by your self you would be in the same shoes as he. Now granted most of the problems lie in the empty lending where lending was giving to people who could not afford to pay back the money they borrowed but this isnt just the US this is Canada, europe, New zealand Australia and the list goes on. That said
many things our new pres has promised he has not done which to a degree isnt helping. well to the full degree isnt helping. However he promised these things back before he really knew the whole problem however any other pres would be in the same shoes only slightly differently. Hillary would be having a Menopausal out burst and McCaine pry would have had a heart attack and died

got traction

First of all i would like to thank chris for setting this thread up for sucess and joe for helping to keep the thread on track. Hopefully we can keep this civil because i'll be perm banned soon :lol:

i would first like to address this comment:

Hillary would be having a Menopausal out burst and McCaine pry would have had a heart attack and died
First, his name is John McCain. With that said, i think its very rude and immature to make a comment like that.

Here are my issues with the Obama administration:

- disarming the US of nuclear weapons
- cutting funding to the military while fighting 2 wars
- healthcare reform (but might not have to worry about that anymore)
- Barak Obama is very good at avoiding questions. I've met him in person and he did the same thing before he was voted into office.
- stimulus packages - cars/electronics/homes/washers, etc

Of couse its a global problem but spending doesnt get us out of anything. Running up the national deficit does nothing for us. The new 8 billion dollar national railway project will create jobs but imo its still UNNECESSARY SPENDING. He said that it would create "positive, long term economic growth"...seems to be a common theme of all his great ideas. His approval rating is the lowest of any president who has been in office as long as he has. At this same stage of presidency Bush's approval rating was 86% There is no doubt that a bad world economy has contributed to this, but he has fulfilled zero of the promises he outlined in his campaign. Hes spending too much, too soon.

Thank God for Scott Brown...
