eh, that's another topic.

there you go....

if he were against them he would be "working on a way" to get them the f**k out...
maybe he realizes that that is impossible, so use them to his advantage?

THEN GET IT OUT OF THE BILL!!!

I guess the idea is that if there was no penalty, then there might be a problem with adequate compliance, even though officials don't really want to penalize anybody. With that said, they may end up penalizing a small number of non-compliant individuals as examples that would prompt others to comply.

your right.. but last time i checked it was MY choice as to what to do WHEN i get sick.. it is MY choice to save money for that day... or not.. it is MY choice to go to the doctor or not.. i personally NEVER get sick so at this point i do NOT have health care because on the off chance i get sick it is cheaper for me to just pay and go to the dr. and be done with it.. so FORCING me to pay for health care so YOU can get it cheaper is f**kED UP... you are TAKING from me and GIVING to you.. "all in the name of the greater good"

The Bill has a more long term outlook. The idea is that, while you are healthy now, it's highly unlikely that this will be the case as you become older. Then is when you will probably reap the benefit of the Bill. Alternatively, though I hope this does not happen, you could have an unexpected debilitating accident, and then the Bill would benefit you sooner.

my point is you seem to have NO issue in that... where does it stop for you? you know if you rented or purchased a house that had ONE more room than you NEEDED.. and the government stated that you must take that room and house a homeless person.. you could say it IS for the greater good.. it WOULD reduce the number of homeless.. it WOULD reduce sots to the government trying to house these people with no where to go.. would you do it? would you be for it in the name of the greater good? f**k NO.. why? because its RIDICULOUS for the government to expect YOU to deal with someone elses problems.. life is tough you have enough of your own problems..

Actually, I personally do support some governmental programs designed for "the greater good". Again, I think your primary issue is with any government that is too big. I understand this concern. It's a fine line that we walk between a capitalistic and socialistic government. There must be some happy medium.

you cant justify a new law that is WRONG by pointing out other f**ked up WRONG aspects of the government.. by you SAYING what you are saying you YOURSELF are pointing out how f**ked up the government is.. and then two seconds before saying that you TRUST them enough to take over health care and start legislating law to it..

so you say...
"'d rather people are forced to pay for health in...."
implying that the government is totally f**ked up and runs improperly.....
but then support government running MORE s**t...

yeah.. dont get that..
Because it's time they do something with health care. It's not that government is f**ked up, it's that the politicians are f**ked up. It's the fact that you have bitching and moaning between the Republicans and Democrats, and whenever something comes up one party doesn't like, they stall it and it eventually get's off the table for voting because it's been stalled for so long. The fact that this got passed That's what is f**ked up. It's not the government, it's the people running it.

There's a difference between illegals who are doing NOTHING to become legal citizens, and those are doing SOMETHING to be legal citizens. Those who do nothing to become legal citizens, deport them, but if they are doing the paper work and the process to be legal citizens, let them stay, since they are proving they are doing what it takes to be a legal citizen.

yeah you support programs for the greater good that inconvenience me.. but if it came to something that effected you in a crazy way like for example housing a homeless person you would be absolutely completely against it.. even though it WOULD have an ENORMOUSLY positive impact on society..

I wouldn't mind housing a homeless person as long as he was doing something to better himself.

You think everything inconveniences you. You'd be better off just moving to another country.

You think this doesn't inconvenience me?

This is the problem with America, everyone is out for themselves, instead of bettering the country.

doing it right AFTER you are caught is not good enough.. . deport them and let them try to come in legally.. wtf its like you rob someone 20 times finally get caught and are like oh wait.. ill make it up to them.. ill earn some money and pay them back for what i took.. and we just say oh ok sure thats good enough... well wtf if you are never caught... what is to discourage others from illegally coming in if they know that when they are caught they will just be allowed to legally immigrate... thats bullshit..

If you would research what it takes to become a legal citizen, you would know you have to prove you've lived in the United States for 5 years, this is BEFORE you can even apply for a citizenship.

How are you ebing forced to change yourlife? Are you being forced to move into a smaller apartment, and the government taking your car and then giving you something else because it's better for the environment?

What do think he is trying to do? If he tries to make it easier for an illegal immigrant to become a legal citizen, the Republicans are going to fight it tooth and nail because you know, it's worse for an illegal immigrant to become a citizen, pay their taxes, then it is for them to stay illegal immigrants and not pay any kind of income tax

I'd rather you have to be forced to pay for your health care so I don't have to pick up your tab if you get into an accident and have to be taken to a hospital and not able to pay your bills.

NO the right thing to do is to get them the f**k out and address the problem...

problem TOO many illegals coming in illegally..

solution 1: find illegals after they illegally enter and HELP them become legal citizen.. MORE citizens that are then illegible for our laundry list of government aid..

solution 2: remove and PUNISH people illegally in the country and STOP more from entering..

i fail to see why solution one would CURB illegal immigration.. if anything i think it would INCREASE the desire to sneak into the country... think about it.. you take the risk.. get to work illegally for a while.. earn some cash under the table.. then when you are caught you get to start over and become a legal citizen... NOT a good idea imo..

got traction

i rock the sohc

id rather NOT have to pay for 30 million other peoples healthcare. Because of this bill, the price that a doctor charges will skyrocket because of malpractice insurance, what are we going to do then?

Where do you see solution 2 even working? We deport them, they'll come right back. No matter what you do they will always enter illegally.
