Yeah but asking for birth certificates to prove citizenship is ridiculous, I don't even know where mine is, prolly w/my rents so i guess I'd get deported.
they dont ask for your BC

try to understand the law before you criticize it..

if you are here LEGALLY then you have a drivers license.. or other government issued ID.. proving you are a legal resident.. if you are here with a "green card" you are REQUIRED by LAW to be carrying it.. thus proving you are here legally.. maybe if you UNDERSTOOD the law you would not oppose it so much, or do ridiculous things like comparing it to Nazi Germany.. but hey who are we to criticize the Nazis.. they were a pretty efficient machine.. far more efficient than our present government...

got traction

i rock the sohc

its what liberals do..

1) pick something they see in the news
2) think if it has ANY anti-liberal sentiment
3) ignore all fact/logic
4) speak out against even going as far to make unreasonable comparisons

in this example..

1) Arizona anti ILLEGAL immigration bill
2) it oppresses illegals who are potential liberal supporters
3) ignore the fact that any reasonable adult would be carrying ID, and the fact that the law REQUIRES you to
4) compare it to Nazi Germany even though its NOTHING like that..

we all know why liberal Dems support making illegals legal.. it is a whole s**t load of votes just waiting for them.. it is ALL about control, and has NOTHING to do with humanity..

Ditto my friend

The Arizona legislation is a case in point. It fails to define "reasonable suspicion" for demanding proof of citizenship, then leaves the proof itself a little vague. In one recent case near Phoenix, a Hispanic truck driver whose license and registration were in order was taken to the offices of the immigration service in handcuffs while authorities called his wife at work and made her go home to find the birth certificate showing he was born in the U.S.A. And the new law won't even take effect, officially, until July.

you are blaming a law..
for causing unfair ethnic profiling..
when the law is not even in effect yet..
do you know the problem with that? or do you need me to point it out?
FURTHER the description of what happened is EXTREMELY vague... little to no detail whatsoever..

Wait did you just praise the Nazi's? WTF is going on in here.........
i did not praise anyone.. i simply commented that they knew wtf they were doing..
one nation.. COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY united...
they functioned as a finely tuned machine, and took s**t from no one...agree with them.. hate them.. doesnt matter.. you can not discount the efficiency in which they did things..

i am sure you will find plenty of people to disagree with you.. i am always open to discuss things that many people agree OR disagree with... simply because i don't agree with you does not mean im ignoring you OR what you say..

you implied the law is going to be like the SS going around asking for "papers"

I simply said you are wrong.. the intention of the law is to empower the state to detain people who fail to produce documentation showing they are legally in this country.. green card (which you are legally REQUIRED to carry), drivers license, etc... and then YOU stated no the law is bad bad bad.. look at this article.. this guy was detained..... etc.. well thats great and all but the law we are discussing has not even gone into effect yet, and the article has MINIMAL information at best.. so i fail to see how its valid.. i don't know why any reputable publication would even include that in an article.. its like me saying "i heard a report that a guy was charged with speeding just because the police didnt like the style of music he had playing in his car when he got pulled over.. NO names, NO other information.. just a lame random story.. I am NOT saying it didnt happen.. but to make an article credible it has to include a little more info than that IMO.. but as stated.. the law has not even taken effect yet.. so what was previously done is kind of irrelevant..

whats your solution? just ignore it?

just goes to show you..

people are mad about something...
provide up some vague "facts"...
let people link things that are not even there...
and you add fuel to the fire..

lets face it.. if the article pointed out that a Latino man was arrested by FEDERAL officials it would really not add ANYTHING to the story since the story is about LOCAL enforcement.. but tell the same arrest story and leave out exactly WHO arrested him and let the sheeple connect the dots and the story changes from...

"Latino American citizen detained by FEDERAL authorities to prove citizenship"
TO
"Arizona's new anti immigration hate law forces arrest of local LEGAL LATINO citizens"

I have said it again and again, but I guess it needs repeating. Arizona has a major problem with drug cartels murdering and kidnapping people for human trafficking, and they are trying to fix the problem. Anyone who opposes this law should imagine what they would feel if their little sister was kidnapped and smuggled into Mexico to be a sex slave to support these drug cartels' businesses. How would you feel then? Would you be complaining about how its going to violate the rights of Hispanics in the area? f**k no you wouldnt.

And on a side note. The LAW is not going to discriminate against Hispanics, its the officers that uphold the law. And let me tell you, if an officer wants to discriminate against someone, they arent going to need this little law to help them, they have already been doing it for years.

hmm. makes me wonder why this law isn't called "cartel crack down" and more focus on cartels

oh, but they're the same people right?lol
you don't think drug cartels have inside people?

I want to see the U.S Toughest Cartel Law signed, that'll be the day huh bud?

I don;t support illegal immigration, but Illegal immigration will never end because there will always be inside people. not just that but how do you stop humans from going places?

Its not just HISPANICS. but They do make up a huge portion

And on a side note. The LAW is not going to discriminate against Hispanics, its the officers that uphold the law.
of course not, it will discriminate everyone that doesn't resemble the painted criteria.

Officer = LAW LAW = Officer

idk, Right now I'm kind of thinking Arizona wants to be an all white people state. its really not hard to see for me at all, idk, we'll see how i feel later.

In 1969, Arizona lawmakers opposed legislation to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. 's life. There were questions about King's ties to communism, and questions about extramarital affairs. King's proponents asked his detractors to focus on the principles he espoused rather than the personal life he led.

In 1970, efforts to honor Dr. King were again denied. In 1986, Arizona finally achieved its MLK day by then governor Bruce Babbitt's executive order still the following year Evan Mecham, who once referred to black children as "pickaninnies," rescinded the executive order as his first act as governor.

It was not until 1996, several years after the NFL commissioner Pete Rozell presented Arizona officials with an ultimatum in 1992 to either honor Dr. King with a holiday or the Super Bowl, which had been previously scheduled to be played at Sun Devil stadium in Tempe, would be moved elsewhere. The voters finally approved a MLK day in Arizona.
Arizona bill targeting ethnic studies signed into law
Gov. Jan Brewer signs the bill that bans schools from teaching classes designed for students of a particular ethnic group. School districts may appeal the law, which becomes effective Dec. 31.

When i move to Pheonix, after getting harassed of course, i want my kid to know about Columbus too! oh man, but now their targeting ethnic studies!.. boo!.. hey, i want to help him make a tippy display.. i know what that's i did when i was kid in class!

Oh, by the way. People with the "not yours, yours" pictures and avatars.. do you really think there will be a Mexican illegal Immigrant on this club that will acknowledge your pictures and avatars?

why not a logo with the Italian or Russian or Japanese map?

Hate your own goverment for not doing anything about illegal immigration earlier. not the poor mexican who's too stupid to realize what "america" really is. Aim you hatred towards your beloved government for not doing anything soon. this is not an over night issue right boys?

why a logo with the Italian or Russian or Japanese map?
i dont know either... while those people come and go often.. they do normally go.... so i dont know.. why a logo with those places?

Hate your own goverment for not doing anything about "illegal" immigration earlier. Not Mexico or Mexicans. they are not the ones in control? don't you see that?
I do hate the government for allowing it.....
I hate the employers for rewarding it....
but yes..
I yeah.. I STILL HATE THEM for doing it...

I dont think I necessarily agree with the "not yours, yours" logos either. To me, in a way, the logo is implying that ANYONE who is Mexican shouldnt be here. I dont agree with that. I think that if someone who is born in another country, goes through the proper procedures to be here legally, then by all means they are welcome.

I think the logo isnt Italian or Russian or Japanese because we dont have a SERIOUS problem with people from those countries sneaking in, and especially a serious issue with them causing huge problems.

I dont think its right the government isnt doing anything. But it also costs resources for the government to take care of such a HUGE problem. Resources that we could DESPERATELY use in other areas to help stimulate our economy.
