I have a 93 ex sedan and Ive lowered on eibach sportline springs and pro shocks, I wanna put my 17s on it, the tires are 215/45/r17. Im worried about rubbing. with or without people in it.

I have replaced all bushings and will be replacing the ball joints too. not sure if it would help but the bushings stopped alot of the excessive bounce it had.

if theyll rub what can I do to stop it .

I looked all over the place trying to find info on it and couldnt find anything. I have pics of the car lowered and of the wheels if itll help.

same thing i'm trying to do with my hatch. going to try 205/45's tomorrow. but the only real way (without busting out physics class) is to throw them on and try it out.

but if the 215's do rub on the well. either get 205's or roll the fender out a bit. or both.

if they dont rub on the edge of the well, but scrub if u hit a bump, just get stiffer springs, it'll be a bumpier ride but they wont allow the wheel to hit the top of the well.

that should take care of it. (i'm goin thru the same problem so had to look up a bunch of stuff lol. +40 offset with a 9in wide tire doesnt work with civics)

ORRRRRRRRRRRRR you can do what basically everybody on here says and get 15's but why conform? =P lol

i have h & R racing spring and GR2 struts, it lowered my car two inches, and i was on 17x7's with 205 35 17 and those muther f**kers rubbed hard. If it does rubb you can roll your fenders

dam 2 inches with 35's and still rubbed? o.O was the suspension soft or what? or did it bounce up and hit the edge of the fender?

just tried out a 205/45/17 on my hatch and it was only half an inch taller than stock. hit as many bumps as i culd to test it out and it seemed fine.

Air hammer the fenders out. and air hammer the inside of the fender-well.or rubber mallet them.

shittin me. if u feel like replacing tires about once a month you can rub. or spend the money to have tires with reinforced sidewalls.

but this is coming from the state that has people stretch the hell outta tires to get em flush with the sides. so i guess a lot of ppl out in socal dont care about rubbing. some build for looks, some for speed. never gonna appeal to everybody.

but do you rub? i meant if you just leave your tires to rub they'll wear down a whole lot quicker, especially if it's rubbing the sidewall. good way to blow em.

what size tires do u have? cuz i picked up some 17" enkei's and i dunno if i wanna go 205 40 or 45 (still stock suspension)
