Anytime yo, what year you thinkin?
i dont know, im still a few week from the whole sale thing, but im going to take care of everything after finals week, i gotta get some maintenance and get my suspension checked out before everything goes on the chopping block
i do like ur year but i've been looking at mx-5 mazdaspeeds
ahh, very nice. From what i've read, Mazda designed the MSM to act more like a bigger motor (2.5) instead of a turbo. Hence kyle saying there's still lots to upgrade.
I love the MSM would prolly buy one too if I were looking now. But that said, for the same price you can boost a standard MX-5 and it would smoke an MSM, but just depends what you want.
For me I love the little things on the MSM:
boost obviously
different front/rear bumper
Bilstien shocks + stiffer springs
Pedals
Seats
Blacked out headlights
They do have a few problems with the turbo design though so just be prepared to tackle some of that later in life

Clean msm w/50ish k miles
or another NB w/6-sp + LSD for 6-7k 4-5k to mod immediately.
Sometimes I really dig NA's and i think for what I paid i could of got one w/some extra money and would already have some mods I'm yearning for.
Then I look at mine and it's just pretty, sometimes too pretty, i kinda dig the rough look at times lol but i love the NB styling, body lines are near perfect to me.
There's no right / wrong answer, think it depends on the opportunity you find.
That black boosted NB for 13k, if you got that for 11k wow what a monster........

i have a deep yerning for a ripped to the bone NA, but bhiems talks me out of it every time i start yammering , i just think it would be dope to role in that, but i would need a DD and i dont want one, which brings me to the NB, it looks great, all the time, hard top, soft top, no top, i just wouldn't know where to begin, and i dont wana pay arm and leg for the car, if i car get a better car with some weekend work ill do it, boost or no boost, but if i could get a NA/ NB with lowish miles for ... 6 k yeah id put the rest of my money in that

Yeah it's funny I love Toms NA and he loves my NB, grass is always greener on the other side.
I do think NB's are slightly better for DD and are more refined than NA's. Depending on how much time you give yourself to find one, you should be able to find something 50-80k miles for 6k. If you can, I'd even look at Southern states where rust is non-existent but it just depends on your situation and what's reasonable for you.
