Greeting Other Honda Drivers.

I have recently come back into the Honda scene after owning numerous VW's for awhile. One thing I have learned over the years with them is that while driving if passing another VW you usually throw a wave or somehow acknowledge them. I have noticed (and maybe it's just my area) that fellow Honda drivers rarely throw a wave, mostly just blank stares.

Do you wave to other drivers or just turn a blind eye to them? Why or why not? :???:

if they have the same car as me, or is cleanly done, ill throw a hand up, but if its got a 10 inch fart cannon, and a park bench , with a flames down the side, then i try to ignore them and leave the area asap

I used to keep a bag of rocks on the passenger seat floor.. and when someone would wave like that I would throw a rock at them.. eventually the annoying waving stopped..

OC, ur f**king hilarious. Theres a Civic exactly like mine minus the rims that I keep seeing. We've actually chatted at stop lights and put thumbs up when we see each other. good times. other civic owners just look and dont wave, assholes.

When I was 16 with my first civic I would wave..... i was a huge ricer and thought Honda was the greatest haha.

Now unless I see a cleanly modified honda I just ignore the buzzing sound coming from their exhaust

lol. I was following an accord with a 6" exhaust yesterday, I could hear his exhaust over my subs, then again my windows were open, but he kept looking back at me. made me laugh, I waved at him and he flips me off, little bastard.

I find it odd. My dad and I ALWAYS throw up a wave whenever we pass another Vette. When I had my Camaro, still always threw up a wave and always received one...........even when I was waving to a nice '69 Camaro and I was driving a shitty 1994 V6, the other dude still waved. I guess like stated before, most Honda owners have the mentality that they are the s**t.

Anyway, welcome to the site! Welcome back to Honda's. Post pics of your car so I can wave when I see you.

yea, I cant stand high school kids who own a civic and think they can beat a ferrari with no problem. I just want to smack them upside the god damn head.

I believe that he is referring to modified Hondas, not just a Honda in general.

haha thanks vjf915, i should have stated better that I meant cleanly done Hondas. Something you see driving and think to yourself "hey that's pretty sweet." not just hey he's got a primered car with a bodykit and Autozone muffler and the slip on exhaust tip.

And here is the pile. Had it about a week. Had the interior steam cleaned, and removed all the stupid sticker the PO had on the windows. Basically looking to just build it into a stock looking car. Nothing fancy just a fun car, something my VW never gave me. The front end needs to have the pieces lined up and going out to get OEM lights tomorrow.

Before wheels were cheaply painted.

Around where I live, there's absolutely no sense of community; especially when it comes specifically to the Civic JDM/import/tuning/ricer scene. Throwing your hand up to wave "hi" to another Honda driver is the same as saying, "Hey there! I have no clue what I'm doing. Please take down my licence plate number so you can find me just in case you want parts off of my car later on."

Humor aside, it's sad, really. The only sense of community I get from this hobby is from the forums.

Amusingly, I've developed a much better public camaraderie with drivers of other makes/models that I meet at the local drag strip. There's one Integra driver in particular who always shares a smile and a wave with me every time we pass.

Yeah times have changed within the last 5 years. I don't care if you are a ricer or not. You best wave and say hi, since I'm looking stupid by being friendly. It's as if people are socially inept these days. :retard: Pull your heads out of your asses and be nice. How hard is it to wave or smile or nod your head? It takes a split second to do.

i think its becaues everyone thinks they have the badest fastest car out their. their is ALWAYS somome badder and faster. well thats the ft worth tx area anyway!
