It has nothing to do with it being a sketchy traffic stop, that fact wasnt revealed until AFTER the motorcyclist was recording the video. And for you guys who dont know, you can record the video, just not the audio. The dude was in the wrong, in SO many ways. Its not bullshit at all.

I have to agree with ^^^^.

This has been around for a while now, this isn't new. This was debated on here in fact, in pretty good detail.

The officer should have immediately identified himself, but was not in the wrong with drawing a weapon as the dude was backing up. Most have no idea that the bike could be used as a deadly weapon. All he needed to do was pop that clutch and the bike could have crushed the officer between the car. There are wrongs on both sides here.

I don't agree with the 16 years in prison (is it even 16 years, at LEAST 1 broadcast is saying waaayyyy less than that).

I think part of the wrong here is that the guy posted it on the net. That is illegal even if it wasn't an officer. With him being an officer, it makes it even more so. You can't film someone without their consent and definitely can't show it publicly. Why do you think they blur faces on public video? It is because the people didn't give their consent.

good maybe it will teach these douche bags who ride bikes in ridiculous retarded ways to stop being such assholes.. I am all for punishing those pricks.. they treat the roads like its some f**king freestyle racing course.. yeah douche bag just because you are on a bike doesnt mean you have the right to do wheelies... weave in and out of traffic.. and fly above the speed limit.. they should make requirements for bike licenses WAY more strict to keep these dumb kids who cause a dangerous situations off of them..

and to further it.. it's not like the officer points the gun at him.. he draws his weapon in case..

the ONLY error that the officer made was not INSTANTLY identifying himself as a police officer.. when you stop someone like that you need to IMMEDIATELY identify yourself.. if someone in plain clothes no badge pulled a gun out on me in a carry state, I would likely draw back.. we live in crazy times and it is impossible to distinguish the good and bad guys.. at least identify yourself as a cop if you are going to draw your weapon..

but that has not a thing to do with the videotaping...

i believe this thread is about the fact that he recorded the video. not what was recorded. weve already discussed a few months ago that the motorcyclist was in the wrong on the traffic stop. he even fessed up to that. this is about the video itself. him being charged for recording the traffic stop.

Was that a serious statement? Its a bike. Have you ever ridden one? Theres no way in f**k it would be possible to launch my bike at someone to "crush them" between my bike and their car, especially when the other guy has a f**king Gun. thats rediculous.

Correction. We do own the road. It's all about time and place. Theres a time and place to fool around, wheelie, and fly above the speed limit. Some have a hard time distinguishing when and where to do so. Seriously. Think about this for a second. Your on a f**king bike. One that weighs 500lbs MAYBE with you on it. The only person your going to do harm to is yourself. Hitting a minivan on a bike will cave in a door. I've seen it, and it was a Harley that weighed close to 1000lbs and t-boned a minivan cus the b***h didnt see him and ran a stop sign. When you ride a bike other cars are your enemy. I do what I can to stay the f**k away from them. Then again, I live in maine and we only have 2 lane roads.

So you think that dropping the clutch from 5-7 feet away wouldnt pin the guy between the car and most likely kill him? And having a gun is NOT going to provide ANY protection against a motorcycle flying at you. Yes, there is a time and place to pull wheelies and drive fast, its called the race track.

lol. you've clearly never been on a bike before. You "accelerate fast" from a dead stop your going over backwards. good luck getting up and taking off after you've launched your bike into a cruiser. Thats about as accurate as an undirected missile. None the less it is one, but still. The chances of that are highly unlikely. You'd hurt yourself more then someone else.

If you understood how to read, maybe you would see that she wasnt at a motorcycle race. The Tour de France is a bicycle race, therefore the motorcycle was going as fast as the bicycles.

And Im pretty sure that an undirected missile could hit a target that is 5-7 feet directly in front of it

I highly doubt it dude. I've had my bike at the drag strip. I even have launch control and an air shifter. EVEN then I'm all over the lane. Unless that bike has a 18 inch extended swingarm its going over backwards before you can say "vfj915"

If it were me and a car pulled up beside me at a light like that(wihtout knowing it was a cop) I'd have taken off before the guy got out of the car.
