New to the site, my first car! 98' EJ7

Hey Club Civic my name is Kenny most of my friends call me Stylez. I live in Boston, MA and have been living here all 19 years of my life! Been into civics for quite some time now just never owned one, lol. I'm glad to announce that this is my first car! And not to mention.. I got a crazy deal on it! Here are a few details:

Paid $1,100 USD
1998 Honda Civic HX EJ7
98,XXX original miles!
5-Speed Transmission, Shifts smoooth no grinds!
Power Windows/Locks/Mirrors
Interior is all stock including the stock radio, and it's in mint condition!
Exterior has NO RUST! Just a little rust spot on the hood and the back bumper is cracked.
Has minor damage to the rear QP on the passenger side ( nothing major )
Break lights don't turn on.. working on fixing that.
Springs are cut but I have the OEM Springs and struts which will be replaced for the winter.. as well as all four tires.
Has black housing headlights and an aftermarket rice grill which will all be changed eventually. Other than that it's all stock!
Soon she shall be on the road! :hehe:
My plans for her:

-Viper Alarm
-2000 Front End
-Tein Basic Suspension.. or maybe some S.Tech spring / Shock combo.
-Get some kind of rims...still unsure.
-Tints
-New Radio and install my 12" JL Subs
-Get a new rear bumper/ SI Tail lights.
-Rear window visor & M3 wing
-Front&Rear Lips.. most likely Type R or if I can find the OEM lips (which I doubt lol)
-HID's & Clear Fog lights
-Re-Paint it RED!
-Exhaust system... and some engine work! but no swaps... because it's a b***h in BOSTON! :x
-s2000 Steering wheel... or maybe a quick release.
-I really want some Black GSR Leathers.... we'll see.
-And a few other things I can't think of right now... lol

If by tag you mean my carboard license plate, thanks! Lmao it was temporary so I wouldn't get pulled over on the highway on my way home when I bought it... since it was a 45 minute drive. :x

Somewhat, lol. It's actually not as bad as I thought it would be... just too bouncy for my liking. I have the OEM Shocks/Springs which will be put on by Sunday and will remain on throughout the winter time while I save up for some TEIN. :lol:

Nice pick up man. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
I notice the radio is different than other 96-98, so i don't think that's the stock radio that came with the car, not that it really matter anyway.

Yeah man I realized that not too long ago... he had an aftermarket radio on it and I just asked him to put on the stock radio for me and that's what he gave me. Oh well I'll eventually switch it anyways considering it doesn't even turn on. :evil:

Thanks man, that's what I said... the only thing wrong with it was that the brake lights wouldn't turn on... but I fixed that problem now I just need to install the OEM suspention and she'll be ready for the winter. :nod::woot:

Wassup guys? It's me again.. lol. Well I haven't been on in approximately 2 months, so here are some updates:

Since I've been gone.. I registered/insured the car and all that other bullshit. Put some 8000k HID's on it, and replaced the license plate bulbs with some LED ones to match the HID's.






Picked up a Pioneer radio and some Kicker door speakers:


Picked up these BBS RA's for FREE with brand new tires 205/50/15. Will be painting them all white (like the ones to the right in the second pic):




Picked up some Basic TEIN Coils for $200 (no pictures) and will soon be getting F7 LCA's and a few other suspention upgrades. It ran good for some time, then the CEL came on. It threw code P0401 EGR insufficient flow. Why did I buy an HX? So it turns out the HX model's have an EGR system, and unfortunately mine was clogged. So I went ahead and ordered a new EGR Chamber gasket/EGR Valve Gasket and a few other things and (with the help of a friend) took it apart to clean it. Pics below:

No more CEL! =)

Ordered some SI Door Tweeters, SI Cluster.. looking for SI Interior.... New clutch/flywheel/tranny.... 2000 Front End... Si Tails.... 2000 rear bumper.... all coming soon! So stay tuned!
