Name a song or band/artist that you like, that either is A) Never played on the radio and probably never will be or B) So old that most people don't listen to it/them anymore. Then post a youtube link to a song. If they're so obscure that they don't have a link on youtube, post lyrics or anything related to them that will give us a feel for their music. You might want to post what type of music they make too.

This might be a good way to expand the music we listen to and discover new artists we've never heard of or haven't thought of.

I"ll start it off with an oldy, but one of my favorites - Frank Sinatra. His modern day equivalent would be Michael Buble. I don't really know what to peg his music genre as, but I'm sure most people are at least semi familiar with Sinatra. This particular song is "My Way" but I love everything he's put out:

I like Michael Buble. I came across Marie Digby randomly on YouTube last year. Her mom is Japenese and her dad is Irish American. I personally think she's gorgeous.

Here's her channel:

I spend a lot of time on YouTube listening to covers, hoping to get inspired. More YouTube "stars" I keep up with and have found to be good are David Choi and Tyler Ward. David Choi does tours and has CD's out and Tyler Ward, I believe, has a recording contract.

I haven't had a chance to listen to all of those yet, but I really like Marie Digby. Her Linkin Park "Waiting for the end" cover is REALLY emotional. She puts a lot of feeling into her singing.

My dad and I came across a band called Porcupine Tree. In my opinion, one of the most underrated bands I have come across. The vocals may not be the best, but I love some of the guitar work that they do.

That's one of the things I like about her. She just doesn't use her voice to sing.

Here's another one. BB King's "Chains and Things". Powerful guitar, powerful voice.

Jolly, anything Flux Pavilion touches is f**king gold. That song you posted is actually like 2 times as long and I've seen it performed live recently out of 70,000+ watts of power. f**king mind blowing. Check out the song 'Gold Dust' if you like hard f**king basslines and good music. :D

Back on topic though, the music I have listened to for ages that nobody I know listens to is funk. I always retreat to Funkadelic and Dyke & The Blazers when I need some good funk.

^^You know, funk is music I always forget to listen to. The little funk I've heard, I like... especially the guitar style used in funk. I've been meaning to listen to more of it
