Hey, im from STL missouri and drive a silver Civic 97... i guess technically its a si. I swapped a b16a2 in it. Anyway im part of a car club in STL called STL-Imports ( i hope its okay if i use other forums names... lol) well, they suck. So uh, Im trying to find a forum that actually helps out their underlings. okay a little back story on my ride.

97 civic HX auto
Swaped b16a2 five speed
Injin intake
AEM Fuel rail
Enkei rims
Kumho 205/40 r16
Buddy Club Coilovers dropped 3" front and back
270cc injectors (dont remember brand)
Megan 4-1 headers to custom straight pipe w/cat to tanabe can
Paint??? Ewwwwwwwwww.

The kid i got the car from sprayed straight over the clear coat on the OEM silver paint. (stupid.)
Im getting the car sprayed in a few months to fix this WONDERFUL IDEA.

Anyway i did have some troubles when i did the swap on the car. Like i said it WAS auto swapped 5speed. It run fine other than the engine light. When i do a diagnosis on it the code comes back ***ERROR*** I am assuming that since i didnt swap the engine wiring harness its throwing this error. The engine came out of a 99 integra i think. So question is, Do i need a harness from an Integra with a b16a2???

Anyway, I have some knowledge on Late model civics (Pre EK) so if anyone needs any help with anything just let me know. Ill try!!!

Welcome to the site! The motor came from a 99/00 civic si more than likely. Im not sure about the error though

Thanks for the welcome guys! Im just trying to find a friggn shop around here that does mods. Every shop has a NO MOD policy. lame.

work on the car yourself, its really easy. a monkey could fix a civic and work on it

Ya i do, i just need to know why its throwing that ERROR. As soon as i figure that out it will be fixed. Is there a faq for 97 swap b16a2? or what is needed for the swap? Im almost positive its the wiring harness but im not sure. i dont want to spend the money on the part and not even need it.

I hope you really do your own work paying a shop to mod your car is a mortal sin. Its a sin in my family just to take one to a shop period we do all our own work body work, paint motor mods anything.

yep yep. Ive done everything myself so far. Swap, rebuilt engine and trans, shift linkage, interior, body work, prep and prime and im doing paint when the cash comes in. only thing i cant do is forced induction and tyre swap. XD But then again i dont know many people that can do induction and tune without a shops help.

On my old boosted car i did everything turbo kit and all, only thing i had to have someone do is tune it for me.

So you are using the 97 HX wire harness with a B16a2 engine, right? What ECU are you using?

Who the hey are you???? I only know of 2 other 'heavily' modded VSM's in town and you're not one of them. I'm smelling a LOT of BS from this b/c it sounds like a local s**t starter on the forums here, from the verbiage of the posts.

Also, tell me what 'all' shops have the NO MOD policy...???? News to me.
