Intercooler + piping too big?????

i happen to have gotten my hands on a intercooler with 3 inch inlets and outlets. My piping is 2.5" but the turbo only has 2" outlet is this setup too much for wat i need is it to large will i lose psi or will i have alotta lag?

the inlets and outlets won't make much of a difference as long as the intercooler is resonable size for your hp goal. you'll just need to use 2.5" to 3" step-up adapters

you should be ok with that set up..i believe you'll spool faster if your piping was smaller, lets say a 2 inch piping from turbo to intercooler..im sure since the tanks on the intercooler are 3 inches its a tall intercooler as well

^^ true. op could decrease lag if he went with smaller charge piping to offset the larger intercooler and end tanks

sometimes its a hit or miss..i played around with mine when i was getting my car tuned..i did a two inch piping all the way from the turbo to intercooler and it was nice, spooled faster than 2.5 all the way..but when i did a 2 inch from turbo and midway did a 2.5 it spooled quicker..might of just been the way me and my tuner were doing it..if you already have the piping just leave it it wont hurt you that much..if you were going to the strip every weekend and you expect top numbers then its another story.
