It's not like I floored it off the stop sign. I was barely going 8 mph when it happened. And if I was going that slow and still didn't see her until it was too late, my bad. Honestly, if something were to happen to your pretty little car I'm sure you'd be s***ty, too. I didn't ask what the f***ing law says, that I know. I was talking about how stupid it is that they see only what the "law" had in this point, rather than ALSO considering both of the drivers (which one of even ADMITTED was speeding), the driving situation, and also including her giant accident history. But hell, I guess all of that doesn't matter, they just throw it to the curb and listen to the person with words written on paper on his/her side...

You completely missed my point. You're sitting here saying you got the ticket b/c they took sides and b/c of your car/age/newbie driver.

That's not why you got the ticket. You got the ticket b/c YOU by law b/c of the stop sign had to stop. Apparently you did. But you're also entering cross traffic that has no sign. So you are to be completely aware of cross traffic. THEY don't need to stop for YOU since they have no sign.

Yes, she was speeding; shame on her. You also hit her near the rear/side of the car, not from as if you pulled out in front of her.

This is a lose-lose situation for you b/c YOU HAD THE SIGN. If you had pulled out, didn't see her and she hit you, oh well. You still pulled out when you had a sign. Merge(let off brake or barely let off clutch to go) until you can see.

The officer can only operate under what evidence is provided/apparent to him.

Her speeding is actually irrelevant in this case, especially due to the area of the collision on her vehicle. Due to the traffic pattern and the are of collision, he had no choice but to write you a ticket. If he didn't he would be doing something wrong and be reprimanded.

No, that's driving. You didn't get handed a sh*tty situation, the accident was your fault. You had the stop sign, she didn't. She had the right of way, you didn't. Therefore the accident is your fault. There's no leeway. It's plain and simple, your fault. It's not meant to be insulting, or cold, or be dickish about it.....but to expect them to give you leeway when the accident is your fault, is like you expecting them to not issue you a ticket for speeding. Don't get me wrong, it sucks that this happened. I'm sorry it did. Yes, it may have been hard to see....but it's still your fault as far as traffic laws are concerned.

My company has a 3rd shift. Fri, Sat, Sun, 3x 12 hour days but you get paid for 40 and your starting pay is higher. I sort of wish I could've gotten in one of those positions but it sucks having no weekend when all your friends work regular jobs and have weekends off.

yeah thats the shitty part, all my friends work 9-5 so on my days off theyre working. i also do 2 weeks of days, then 2 weeks of nights. so it kinda sucks. but the full days off are nice. i get 8 in a row every 2 months. and if i take my holidays at the right time it works out to 15 days off in a row.

anyways. im slacking right now,m not much work to do

Anyhow. I've already ran since I got off at 3. Gonna study/have dinner for a bit. Then I'll go tan later.

I don't understand how I'm able to run and it doesn't hurt my back, but if I try to do any type of upper body workout I want to scream. You'd think that the constant impact from running would hurt my back but it's not.

Worked 10-6. Well tried to. The pain ended up being so bad I left at 3:30. I'm calling in tomorrow (first shift I'll ever miss) to rest. I was just sleeping on the couch until some random person called the wrong number and woke me up.
