I currently pay $124.11 for digital cable with DVR and 20 mb/s internet. My DVR can only do two shows at once, is only in one room of the house, and doesn't have a whole lot of storage space

Not only is $120 cheaper, it's 50x faster than my current internet. You can also DVR up to 8 shows at once, with terabytes worth of space.

Sounds like a heck of a deal to me. The internet is likely going to go through another revolution, as it did when broadband was first popularized. Being able to download an entire HD movie in, literally, seconds will likely open the door to new types of downloads for us, and new streaming opportunities.

And all for cheaper than I pay for my current services.

I have 2 laptops, 2 TVs and an Xbox 360 going off my package.
-I have 30mb/s
-wireless
-2 DVR's that record 2 shows at once, and I've currently got 19 different shows programmed into it.
-I have channels 2-879, & every HD channel.

I get all of that for $110. It's $125.16 with tax every month.

I also have an Amazon Prime account, which is WAY better than Netflix IMO, which equates to $6.58/m but it's $79 up front. Unlimited streaming movies, DVD's, shows, games, and free shipping on purchases.

^^Google fiber isn't expensive... your setup is just really inexpensive. That's a great deal. But even so, $10 more for more than triple your internet speed is STILL a good deal.

 given my current financial status, this makes me sad :( They probably don't offer it here anyway, and the site won't tell me because I'm on a mobile device

All I could tell from looking at the link, is that it's available in Kansas City. I'm not moving that far, not for a service I can't afford anyway

I have no need for speeds that fast, and that 110 is for everything. I'm not paying 120 for internet.

The $120 is for TV and internet. Your speed is fast enough now, just as 56k was fast enough when cable came out. Your speed is fast enough now until the internet begins adopting new technologies that take advantage of the speed.

Yes, it is currently only in Kansas City, but that is just the starting point. It will be spreading across the nation.

So I would get over 800 of my same channels, in HD, plus my DVRs? Rob already thinks we pay too much as it is. I'm sure there's no convincing him of $10 extra if it moves only 5 hours NE to STL. lol

So it's only going to be available in Kansas City for the time being?
