Mismatched engine bays, to me, pretty much scream "I was too lazy to paint the rest of my car!" or "I don't know s*** about paint, so I took it to Maaco!!". Just me, though. All one color, all matching, all clean. That's the only thing I'll accept with my cars.
As far as people hating on trends, we hate on them because they're horrible. Yes, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and no, no one as to conform to one universal opinion. That's the beauty of individualism. That being said, this s***, along with sticker bombing, "stance nation" bulls***, two-toned hoods/trunks (obviously trying to pull off the CF look), massive offsets with negative camber, LOUD ASS tiny exhaust, and those damned illest stickers are all awful. Once again, just my opinion.
