Exactly why I got a good wastegate.Knock-off manifolds and wastegates are really sketchy. The WG's lock up and slam shut, sometimes they get stuck wide open. I ran an XS Power Manifold for a while (while waiting for a ramhorn that I never got), and after about a month, the wastegate flange fell off while I was doing like 70mph on the freeway, taking my Turbonetics Deltagate II with it. Luckily, it got stuck near my wheel well and was fine, but man. SCARY.
It's pieced together. But the turbo is turbonetics.
Not the best, but it's going low boost so it should be fine. If I'd be pushing more than 12 I would definitely upgrade.
What are u looking at for a BOV?
if its an ebay manifold, they are just junk and flow like s**t. i would upgrade it.
Probably just like HKS SSQV or Greddy Type S
I will eventually. I would like to have a custom one by the same guy who's making my downpipe but those are cheeeeeeeseeeee.
Gallen Callahan. I don't know if you know who he is. He's making the downpipe for like $175 he said.who is making the manifold and the downpipe for you? and for how much?
turbonetic turbo's are ok..a lot of the high hp guys use turbonetic turbo's
type s bovjust take out the bigger spring inside and you'll be set
And I kind of wanted HKS. It's quieter (with a dainty-er sound I think) but they are more expensive.
The HKS are kinda loud. They're ricey too. But most BOV's are ricey lol.

and Alex I never heard of him..does he do good work?
And yeah he's a (either pro-am or grassroots) drifter, and built his entire Cressida. He's a perfectionist and is awesome. I highly recommend him.
It comes with 5 springs and can go up to 25 lbs
