Yup. I don't care what anyone says. It will destroy the blocker rings in the synchros. On any car. I never understood why people did it in the first place. Go buy a car with paddle shifters

Anyways. Almost threw you everywhere last night. Do not eat a lot of taco bell and then get drunk. My stomach is killing me right now. I barely had anything to drink too.

Its a trucker thing. I only use the clutch to take off in my semi. The rest is floating gears.

Gas problems in a Ridgeline? My old truck and my dads were about 10mpg +/- and 32-33gal tanks.

The El Camino SS gets even less lol
Right? I pay $130 per tank in my mega cab cummins lol. It does last around 600 miles though.

Well that's different. My dad does that sometimes when he's driving truck.

But in a big rig floating and using the clutch(double clutching) are essentially the same thing. You dont use the clutch on a semi like you do on a car. They are designed completely different.

You use the clutch to pop it out of gear. Then release the clutch. Then press it again to drop into gear.

When you float you pop it out of gear and wait for the rpms to drop or match to drop into gear. There should be no grinding. You can also use the jake brake to quicken your shifts.

So double clutching is...

Clutch, neutral, clutch, gear?

Hell yeah. The only thing I've ever heard about it was on the first fast and furious where vin diesel told Paul walker he wasn't "double clutching like he should"

Well I ended up being the shooter for the fireworks show last night, aka the person responsible for the order of the shells that are going up in the air. Nerve wrecking as all get out. Show went awesome though.

Went to breakfast with my gf, her 2 year old daughter, a friend of mine, and her bf that were in town this weekend, then spent 4 hrs over seeding my front yard. Should have only taken 2 at most but the first 2 machines didn't work when I got them back to my house. They cut the rental in half though without asking which was awesome. Spending the rest of the day watering the lawn, doing laundry, and homework. Fun times.

Watched the Bears & Miami games.

Took a spirited drive.

Guess it's time to start laundry and possibly go out to a movie later.

Bought a new kenwood head unit for the 6th gen today and installed, mowed the lawn and now I'm tackling this filthy interior.
