Says the cook :P

I don't mind vegetables one bit in stir fry. I'll eat the hell out of all kinds of vegetables in Chinese food. Chow mein.. Mmm..

I was more management than actual food prep...until mid summer when we laid someone off due to labor cheapness.
But slinging some dough doesn't compare to real cooking

I'm still in that young anti veggie age. I've been trying to be more open to try a wider variety of foods, including vegetables.

Absolutely cannot stand brussel sprouts though.
That's because brussel sprouts are nasty haha.

I really like a good salad. I used to be insanely picky about what I ate, now I'll eat just about anything at all.

I can deal with salad but if the purpose of eating vegetables is to be healthy then I fail with salads because my salads are covered in ranch.

Went to the doctor today, again, for the same ear infection. Got a shot if rocephin (spelling?) in my ass. Now I make faces when I sit and stand. Woohoo! waiting for my prescription to be filled now. Doc warned me that the script was gonna be expensive. We'll see how bad.

I'm still stuck on a half college diet until I get rid of some more loans... fast food, pasta, eggs, and the occasional chicken breast, usually accompanied by milk or beer. I'm slowly trying to eat healthier though. Cut fast food down from lunch every day to once maybe twice a week. No more soda, switched from coffee to tea, and replaced buying cookies with triscuits and some sharp cheddar cheese.

My biggest issue is that I NEVER eat breakfast. And if I do, it's around 11am, which is pretty much my lunch. I wake up at 8am, shower, and get to work by 8:30. Never hungry in the mornings anyways, but I feel like I SHOULD force myself to eat something... I'm starving by lunch time (aka now).

Starting to eat in the mornings eventually made me hungry in the mornings (weird) and then I would be much hungrier before lunch. Obviously it was kick starting my metabolism in the ass.

That was my breakfast just the other day.

Lettuce is a vegetable

With my new job being third shift I've got two choices at 3 am for lunch. Mcdonalds or Waffle House. I'm gonna start bringing my own lunch.

Do it.

I generally spend a couple hours Sunday night making food with the gf and packing it up for the week. Grab a container and go.

Today's packed lunchbox is Penne with Turkey meat sauce w/ spicy sausage (oh hell yea), Carrots and Celery, 2 hard boiled eggs, Grapefruit Chobani yogurt, Gala apple. 2 Sargento pepper jack cheese sticks, bag of almonds, Big100 meal bar (just in case), Kind granola bar, Quaker medley bars, and a bag of gold fish :D

Edit: I can be stuck at work for 10hrs a day, so I try to pack a little extra. Normal 8hr day, I have some stuff left over

My breakfast usually consists of Chobani Greek Yogurt, a bagel or english muffin, and a Nutri Grain bar or a donut if I want to treat myself. On weekends, I'll do eggs/omelets, toast, sometimes pancakes etc. Eating regular breakfast definitely put my metabolism back on track. I don't drink soda at all, I don't eat fast food much, and I've been cooking at home a lot more. It definitely helps in the wallet, and in the gut!
