Hey guys I drive a 00 civic SE and I am trying to figure out what protocol the OBD system uses. I am pretty sure it is using the ISO 9141-2 because when I look at the OBDII connector under the driver side pins (4,5,7,14,16) are there and according to standards if I want to initialize the bus of an interpreter (Scan tool) that I will be plugging into it, pin 15 (L line) is required, where in my case pin 14(CAN Low) is there and pin 15 is missing..
I am officially confused.
What protocol does this pinout refer to????
Here is my ECU Model #: P2E

Thanks!

You seem to be miss-assigning DLC pin numbers. Your DLC has pins at 6, 8, 12, 13, and 15.

6 = SRS
8 = battery input
12 = ground
13 = ground
15 = DLC input/ouput

DLC Pin numbers?
I did not realize that these pins where needed to communicate with the vehicle...
Isint data only transmitted through the K-Line?
