hello i have a 00 honda civic dx 4 door and i bought a pioneer GM-6500f 4 channel amp and i am planning to run it to my speakers to get more power out of them instead of the aftermarket HU powering them.
i have a general idea on how to install the amp itself the only thing that was bothering me was the speaker wiring diagram that pioneer gave me doesnt make any sense.
here's a picture of the diagram that they gave me on wiring a 4 channel to the speakers but i dont seem to understand it well.
maybe if someone can help me with this i would really appreciate it. thanks

its pretty straight forward. A1 is your front right, A2 is front left, B1 is rear right, B2 is rear left. Each speaker has a positive and negative distinguished by the color of the wire. The diagram shows the output wires to your speakers. There should also be a diagram for the input wires from your headunit into the amp. They probably included a little adapter harness too. The trick is knowing which speaker wire color represents positive and which is negative! That I don't remember... it's been a long time since I wired my amps

If the power cable doesn't already have a fuse then yes it's a good idea to install one upstream near the battery. Those kits usually include a million feet of power cable. Civics need like 10-12ft depending on which route you run the cable. Cut the excess cable off because it will help reduce resistance. That applies to the ground wire too. And the larger the cable the better

Also it's a good idea to run the speaker and RCA wires down a separate route than the power wire to reduce interference. On mine I ran power and signal wire along the passenger door sille. The speaker, RCA, satellite and GPS leads I ran under the center console. I grounded the amp using about 14" of cable onto the passenger side rear shock tower with a nice fat washer
