hello i have a 00 honda civic dx and i just ordered a pair of black housing hallo ccfl's headlights and my questions is, i want to run my halos through my parking switch (first turn on the light switch) but since i noticed that civics use the same bulb for parking and turn signal so therefore if i wire it to that switch it will cause my halos to blink when i turn on the turn signal (which i dont want that) so i wanted to ask what are my options? is it possible to get it to that switch or what do i have to do? thanks for anyones help

to avoid this problem just leave your perfectly fine OEM headlights in it. plus less people will make fun of you.

there are like 200 threads on this. use the search function on this web site, it works wonders

You can run the wire to the parking light wire at the parking light socket. There will be 3 wires ground, parking, turn signal. I forget the color code of the parking light wire but yes, you can isolate the halo's to the parking light. Someone can chime in if they remember the color code or you can use a test light or multimeter to test the wires to ensure you get the correct one.

@ mportedcivic great thanks for the help! I really appreciate it and if someone can tell me the color of the wire for the parking light switch rather than the turn signal ill really appreciate it

I am with Redline...

I mean I had the Halo's at one point, then something triggered and I realized I looked like a fool... OEM FTW

yea i know but i want to witness that myself lol so for now since i already ordered them might as well install them to see if i like them.. because in the end is what i like so at least find out the correct way to install them that way i have no excuse but dislike the look instead of incorrect installation...

HALOS FTW!!!! lol, I like em its your car man. If you want you can also run a extra line from your under dash fuse to the engine through the firewall, a little more work but you dont have to cut your oem harness and if you ever get tired of them you can plug and play your old ones right back.

Thanks im glad i found a halo light supporter (: i was trying to prevent a seperate switch so i wanted to hook them up to my parking lights but with a crimp to not cut the harness but to leech off electricity from it.. But im trying to find out which color the wire of the parking switch rather than the turn signal..

separate switch? you mean a separate line? You know If you run a line you dont have to cut the harness. Anyway good luck, post some pics when your done.

Yeah, there should be three wires connected to the plug, ground, signal, and parking. the ground should be black or some other color that is distinguishable between the three. test the other two to see which one is the parking and tap it.

Another option would be taping power behind your cigarette plug, which means every time you turn on your car, the halos go on.
