06 ex premium sound system upgrade.. ideas?

just to save my lazy ass from gettin out, has anyone tried fitting an 8" where the factor sub is and i thought there was an external sub amp for that, does anyone know where its located and can it be converted into rca's... i was thinking of using that and running it to a nicer amp with a nicer sub, but it dosent look like its going to fit, anyway anyone do anything interesting to their 8th gen yet? i was also wondering if the steering weel controlls work on navi/dvd headunits.. and where the amp for the speakers is... bc a dvd HU usually puts under 25watts per channel right? and i was wondering if the premium sound system the amp is in the HU??? thansk... ima noob to this site btw, thanks!

you can add amps and speakers. There is no good sub replacement out there. Either leave it or put a box in the trunk. Steering wheel controls can be integrated with anything with a module. The stock amps are going to be seperate from te head unit.

not all the time especially with the newer cars but if there isnt one yet give it a lil time and there will be.

Snoopys right. Theres no good replacements subs that will fit in that small ass space. I just disconnected the sub and wired up a 15 inch kicker L5 into the trunk.
