1.8 vti

Hi everyone

I have a Civic 1.8 vti (1999) which was made in Japan. Does anyone know if it is the same as the UK/European model?
One difference I have noticed is that the dashboard has a black walnut inset whereas the UK VTi's seem to have a plastic dashboard inset. Is it the same power, engine, etc., as the UK model?

Here is a link to the UK specs...years 99-00 changed the dash trim..so if 96-98 the dash would be diff.
