I happened by Club Civic in a search to better protect my car from future theft. Last week I walked out to discover that someone had broken into my '08 Civic. My car was completely clean without anything visible prior to the crime. Though the perpetrator went through the glove compartment and center compartment, only the driver's side airbag was stolen. After filing all the reports and making my claim to insurance I did some research online to discover that the Honda Civic is the top vehicle for airbag theft. This evening I discovered another Honda Civic that was also broken into in my apartments parking lot.
My Civic is currently waiting for replacements parts at the dealership and I fear bringing home, because what is to stop someone from breaking into it again. Does anyone know of a club or security mechanism that can be attached to the steering wheel to prevent drivers side airbag theft?
