I have a stock b16a2 block at 7 psi . its turbocharged with a gt30 turbo and has all fuel upgrades except injectors and is NOT tuned but i was gonna take it to get tuned with my aem ems and crank up the boost to 10 pounds. at 7 psi its probably near 300 or more also has bolt ons like skunk intake manifold, unorthodox pullies, fidanza flywheel. its runs good at 7psi not tuned, for a year now. would i be pushing it by adding 10 psi tuned with aem ems? or should no problem or might i need other parts such as ignition. thanks for advice. pictures will be up along with dyno runs

so you have been running on a basemap with stock injectors?

upgrade your injector asap, you're most likely maxing them out.

hmm. i wonder what fuel pressure you are running. its sounds like you had someone do your setup. they probably took care of everything for you.

for this reason, i recommend taking your car either to a. someone who knows what they are doing. or b. the person who did it for you and tell them your goals with a gt30 at 10psi.

10psi are ok you can run em but change your injectors and your fuel rail to ASAP cause as the preiews threads you are maxing them out , but BEWARE the b16a2 STOCK can only take 300hp dont push it over you may blew it up i suggest you to buy something from hondata and add pistons , rods , rings . and you will have cero problem with 15psi and 350hwp

try it its worth the expense

Stock Fuel Rail Can Handle well over 250whp. A stock motor can take 300hp is TUNED properly. Had a stock b20, @ 11 Daily, no probs whats so ever.. well over 10k, which included a trip down south from NJ.

yes, but every one of those cars had ALOT bigger injectors than the tiny 240cc stockers, and some form of actual tuning. A basemap is NOT a tune. You shouldnt even be boosting on a basemap, im suprised your car lasted as is.
If you get some actual form of EMS and have it properly tuned, and aquire bigger injectors you will have no problem. And what is "all the fuel upgrades"?

and i never said his basemap was good for 500hp, just that the stock B16 block is strong enough to handle it...

stock b16 fuel rail can 600 hp, and i was told that by geoff at full-race. but i would def. jump up injectors and get a good tune.

why would anyone believe that an UNTUNED HIGH COMPRESSION motor would run with STOCK maps and STOCK injectors at 7 psi on a GT30?

this is absurd, and i throw out a big big "booowsit" flag, unless this guy unknowingly had someone tune this for him.

With ems you will be fine. LHT has stock motors running around on 13psi putting down 330whp, its all about the tune. Plus dont be a fool get some fuel upgrades before you do anything else.

Having everything stock and a base map with a turbo kit at 7 psi is alright, anything above that you're asking detonation unless you have someone tune and bigger injectors, AFC too if wanna go cheap.
