Hi everyone, new here. Am currently fixing up a 1990 civic dx sedan for my little brother. We recently swapped the 1.5 engine with one from Japan through their 30,000 mile engine program, anyone know what that is called... where they have to get rid of the engines for some emissions/govt requirement at low mileage?
The car looks like a wreck but drives pretty good and I want to keep it completely stock. We installed a pioneer deck and 2 more speakers (only came with 2 front), and new locks/ one side window was broken. I have just bought new inner/outer fenders, hood, bumper cover, and some other body pieces, waiting for them in the mail. Will be hitting up the junkyard for a rear quarter skin. Hopefully all body work (minus paint) will be under 2 grand.
So that's the project, thanks for reading. I hope I can learn a lot about these cars, am installing an engine in a 5th gen civic next week for a friend, if any questions come up about thay I'll ask yall!
