Hey guys, as the title says I am looking at doing a motor swap on my civic if it isn't too much work. Motor toasted on the civic and I have the option of picking up a complete 2000 integra gs-r 4 dr 5 spd 1.8 dohc tomorrow cheap. How much more work am I looking at, and will i need to buy anything else to make it fit??? thanks in advance for the help

Wait, what's wrong with the integra?
To be honest, it's easier to research each question you have indepedently rather than be spoon fed because this swap has been done so much. But if I could pick up a 4 door GSR, i'd keep it and ditch my Civic. Depending on the quality of course.

Do you have the tool to do all of this? cherry picker/a tool to lift and move engine into place. breaker bar, torque wrench. Wrench and socket set, screwdrivers, etc;. Necessary fluids.... You'll need quite a lot of things

You should look for a write-up on the swap. I can't think of everything off the top of my head. If your wanting to do it right the first time I would suggest changing out some the seals if the motor has high mileage. It's easier to do when the motors out of the car.

car is an irrepairable write off, front bumper hood fenders, engine bay is intact though. 72000 mi, have all the tools and a shop just not too familiar with honda's not sure what i'd need as in a kit to swap or if everything will fit with a swap or if a kit is needed.
