1997 Civic Aftermarket Cluster into a 1991 Civic

How hard is it to use this 1997 Civic cluster in my 1991 Civic? Is it even possible? I searched around a bit but I cannot find a definite answer or a walk-through of how to do this. Or if it is even possible.

This cluster that I have is pimp, variable colors for lights, white. Since my Civic was a DX or whatever it is, it doesn't even have a tach in it. It has one mounted to the right of the stock cluster on the dash. I like it the way it is, since I can set my redline and all that, but I would rather have this aftermarket installed since I have it.

But if anyone could point me in the right direction and or find me a good write up to install this cluster into my car, I would greatly appreciate it.

i dont know anything about the 5th gens but i would guess just go to your local honda dealer and ask to see there wiring diagrams for the 5th gen then find the cluster diagram copy it or take a picture and wire in a 6th gen cluster plug with the stock 5th gen so you can switch back and forth if you want.as long as you wire it right it will work but i dont know if it will fit or not. here is the diagram i used to put a 04 civic cluster in my 96 coupe , you can use it to see what wires are what in the 6th gen so you can wire it in with the matching wires in the 5th gen.also you only have to worry about the first two columns since your not doing an em2 cluster like me
