1997 civic ex wheel help

I have a 1997 honda civic ex. Question is, I have the normal 4 bolt 14inch wheels and have a great deal on some 16' hfp wheels for the honda fit. They are 4 bolt also but the offset is 55 will these rims fit on my car.
current tire is 185/65/14. the hfp's are 205/45/16. once I get the tires on will i have any rubbing. Will I need a spacer? Has anyone out there tried this set up?

Will these fit???

Any other info you guys would like to share with me about my 97 EX, engine, suspension, maybe some possible upgrades.

Any help is appreciated.

what do i need to get some more pop out of my engine, i have a cai ish I put a big K&N that used to be on my truck on the stock rubber tub intake. Also i'd like to tighten up the suspension. I saw some spring kits on ebay for like $10 thought that was cheep and a chip for like 10 also. I dont know much about these civics all my work has been on my dodge ram. lift, meats, superchip... you get the idea. Looking for things i can do with out to much trouble. no racing or anything i just like driving and the civic gets way better then the 12mpg the truck gets.

you may rub, b/c my work wheels rub and it was +44 offset and 15x7.

ok but these are 6.5 wide not 7 so would that make up the difference between 40 and 55 offset??
