1997 Civic Viper Alarm Issues

I have a 1997 Honda Civic EX Sedan with a factory installed Viper alarm. (I bought the car used and don't know which model of alarm.) I have two issues:

1- A few years ago the alarm sound stopped working. The lights still flash, the ignition kill function still worked, and there's a steady rhythmic click, but no horn sound either when the alarm is going off or when I activate/de-activate the alarm.

2- Unfortunately, as of yesterday, the ignition kill function is not working. The alarm will go off in the above manner, but I'm able to start the car, which stops the alarm.

I was thinking maybe I had accidentally changed some preferences by pushing the valet switch wrongly in different ways and that I could fix it by accessing the preferences menu as described in the install manual.... Does sound like a possibility? The problem is of course that I don't know the model number. Is there a way I can find out without talking to the dealership (I have no idea which one is was bought at)? Are the menu options universal?

Thanks for your help.

IMO, just pull it all out and replace it.

1. Speaker might be dead, or a wire may be loose/broken.

2. No idea. Did the ignition kill work before?

Interesting... Where are the fuses located?
You mean like where are the fuse boxes? Or do you mean where are the alarm system fuses? For the latter, the answer depends on how the alarm system was installed. Because it's an aftermarket system, you'll have to figure that out yourself or pay a professional.
