1997 interior neon install help

My son wants to install neon in the interior of his 1997 Civic. He wants it to come on when he opens the doors. I'm not sure what wires will provide the power for something like that. I see the dome light is white with blue stripe but dont see that anywhere in the harness under the dash. Any help?? I would really like to hook this up somewhere with easy access. I dont want to take the whole dash apaart.

If he just wants it on when the doors are open, you give your light a constant 12V, and then wire the ground to both door jam switches.

If you want them on anytime the dome light is on, you have to wire both wires directly to the bulb terminals on the dome light.

thanks for the help. I found the constant "hot" wire close to the fuse box. I did some research and found the light green/red stripe wire on the radio jack closes the circuit when doors open. Therefore, the neon comes on when either door is opened, and turns off when they close.
I appreciate the help.....
