1999 Civic Si gauge and climate lights not working, left blinker

Hey guys I just bought a 1999 civic si the other day and went to drive it at night, but the gauges so not light up. In addition to that, when I hit the left blinker it blinks fast as if a bulb was out, but all the bulbs have now been replaced and the problem still remains. I have put in all new fuses as well. Someone told me it might be the 'multiplex control unit'. Anyone have any insight?

have not heard of that. my old dx did that and there ended up being a "alarm" unit haggard wired in. check the under dash harness to see if anything is wrong. also try jumping the dimmer switch since its easy

Yeah the wiring underneath the dash is a mess, I'll have to clean it up this weekend when I have more time. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how would I go about jumping the dimmer switch?
