Well I've had my 1st gen DSM BOV for a while now, waiting on everything else. I got it out and was playing with it today...the spring feels realllly tight on it. I want a BOV that will open up w/ out having to rev the engine to like 5k. I was considering selling it on eBay and buying one of the Greddy knockoffs since they're adjustable. They look a lot better too lol (although I guess I could paint the DSM BOV and make it pretty as well). What do you guys think?

If I where you I would stay with what you have or get a greddy. I know a bov gives a cool sound but it is still a important part or a turbo. I would stay clear of those knock off's on ebay. But thats me.

yea I hear some ppl say stay away from them but everyone I've seen that has one, doesn't have any problems w/ it. What's wrong with the knockoffs in your opinion? Thanks

i've heard of some knockoff's leaking.. no personal experience tho

im currently running the 1g dsm bov, and with my wrx turbo spooling almost 24/7 i almost think i need a tighter bov, it opens up during certain part throttles when i wish it wouldn't. other than that its a great bov for DD. not too loud but still there.

most people using dsm bov's get them crushed to INCREASE the spring rate, not decrease it.

crushed 1g's are for like ~13-15psi and up tho. if your not running that much, you wont be able to open it.. just fyi
