Hey all Im new to the site and am loving it so far. I have a 2000 Civic HX with a well maintained engine. It runs great and doesn't need any work even with the high milage on it (270,000+) It's a stock engine and still gives me great milage. I can't really complain about the power because it's 5 speed manual and it picks up well. It does need a bit of TLC on the exterior and my struts may need replacement soon. Here's my question:
Should I just get a new paint job for it with it's stock bumpers? I was thinking about getting a body kit for it, something not too over the top and nice upsized wheels and tires to go with the new paint job. Let me know your opinions and reasons. Thanks to all members for this awesome club.

Try to stay away from body kids man maybe some front and rear lips and some decent side skirts at most. Don't get ricey with it man if it's in good condition leave it that way. Just do it right. Dont get big rims or anything flashy. And if your going to get it painted get all the lips and skirts painted at the same time

No to the body kit, if you want to make the body look better go for a lip kit (CTR, Mugen, Si). As far as rims go look for something not to flashy in 15-16". Make sure to check out the members rides section for ideas.

I remember when I was new to this site. If I were u, I would check out www.tunerzine.com for some great ideas. When I first joined this site it had a photo gallery for each generation civic. Mods, bring back the photo galleries!!!

Thank you all for your comments. I was a bit hesitant about the anyways, but you have made it clear to me that a body kit is not the way to go. I didn't want a ricey car, just something nice and a bit more stylish. By the way I was hit from behind last night and now I have rear bumper damage. That sucks. Thanks again!
