2000 CX Rear Speaker Installation (Hatchback)

Hello - I'm looking for some info on rear speaker installation in a 2000 Civic CX Hatchback.

Specifically, I am wondering:
(a) Was a stock 6x9 ever an option for the car?
(b) Has anyone replaced the rear speakers in a 2000 hatchback and/or could tell me how to do it? A DIY would be nice if you had a link. I've searched for 3 hours already

Unscrew the speaker covers in the back, unscrew the speaker screws holding the speaker. Disconnect the speaker wires. Install desired aftermarket speaker. Rock out.
