go to k-series.com. you will find tips over there.. do a research first on what parts you'll need for this swap. be aware that this is a very expensive swap 7k-10k if done right.. goodluck bro..

so you bought a k motor before knowing everything that entails putting it into your car? good one.

you better save up some money

oh, and search.

Considering you're asking how to swap it in, I can already tell you're going to have a rough time with it. Not to say you can't do it, it's just probably going to be a huge PITA.

And I wish my brother would give me a B16.... Oh wait... He already gave me a free car .

first; stop referring to ur USDM Si as an EK cuz EK entails RHD which will significantly complicate a motor swap. unless you imported an EK4 or EK9 its an EM1 (look at ur vin tag).

with that said its obvious youre not very experienced with motorswaps. did you get a longblock or a complete swap? did it come with an ECU and engine wire-harness? shift linkage? half-axles? we need to know what you have in order to tell you how to go about it

God I hate seeing f**k tards like you spew off at the mouth which makes me hate owning a honda sometimes.

Listen dude was right you don't have a EK, go check your vin #.

A swap is a swap. It's not hard. The k-series website posted will help you out in a lot of questions. There are multiple companies making mounting kits. Each one is different. Go check out reviews on the mount kits. You will need to make holes for the shifter box and cables since this is a cable tranny.

There is a company out there that makes a plug in play harness for you. You ship them your harness, they modify it you plug it up. Simple, unless you are good at wiring like me you can do it yourself. You need a custom header, there are companies making the headers already for a bolt on application. You need to move your radiator over to the other side.

You need custom axles, which are also made for a direct bolt in. Also for a ecu go with the kpro. It will make life a lot easier.

Also you will need a EM2 k20 pulley but you can read about that on the k20 site.

Thats the gist of the swap. Good luck on the swap. I have a friend running a k20a with a super charger running 11.8's right now. Pretty fast car. It's not tuned and running stock fuel setup. Once he gets that done it should be even faster.

Oh and your remarks with ls/vtec, thats a good setup to run. I had one running 11.5 compression and was pretty decent for all motor. Now I am boosting a d-series and I guarantee I am putting down the same numbers as your k20 swap but I spent way less. So k20 isn't the greatest thing since peanut butter and jelly but if you have the money and want to be in the k20 fad then go for it. If I found a k20 for cheap I would do but I won't pay what the normal prices are now. I can build a b-series that would be a lot better.

:what:

...anyways, if your tantrum is over, you still didnt say what came with the swap so dont expect a complete writeup from anyone on a forum especially when you have more s**t coming out of your mouth than your ass. the only trash in this thread is in the hands of someone who paid way too much for a bone stock overrated K only because he heard it was the cool new thing to get. so goodnight to you "killer"

I dont get the big deal... I personally say "EK" to as a quick reference to civics made from 96-00. its just easier imo..

OP: I wish you had asked this question before you bought the motor. Its going to cost a good bit to get it in your vehicle.. You would have been better off boosting the b16 money wise..

EK is a 96-00 hatchback....EJ is a 96-00 coupe.....he has a coupe and called it an EK, not really that big off a deal, but thats why theyre all fighting
