Well i found on ebay some very cheap oem style foglights. A lot cheaper then the OEM honda ones.
Now who has the replicas off ebay and who has the oem ones?
I believe all kits come with the oem switch or an oem style switch so what are the benfits of having an the oem over the replicas?

Thank you..
ps: i searched before posting and i read a lot but though you guys could also chime in.

Quality of the wiring harness (how it was put together and such), quality of the wires, how well sealed the lamp assembly is (will they fog up or not? you know?), etc.

You can get genuine OEM fogs for about $130 shipped off http://www.handaaccessories.com. I got mine for $131 shipped. Then I spent another $26 shipped on Osram Super H3's and they're bright as hell. Then I rigged the wiring to turn on with parking lights.

I couldn't be happier. IMHO, it's not worth the risk to go eGay. You can't beat OEM quality. However, when I researched about OEM vs. eGay, I found that A LOT of people swore by eGay fogs and never had issues.

It's your call.

What are you talking about???

The one I got came with a switch and EVERYTHING. It's just they stopped making the dark gray switch. Now it's just light gray.

Keep the thoughts going.. 130 isn't bad at all plus knowing its oem.
Also any clean DIY on wiring the foglights and also drilling and attaching them to the car?

true that on your saying:

Seriously... Don't make threads asking what other people think you should do or get. Do/get what YOU want or like. Others can't tell you how to make your car.

Anyways,

The dark gray switch is AVALIABLE at SOME honda dealers. They have it from when they stocked it awhile back. Its just unavaliable from the warehouses. I made a list a while back of the location of the dealers, but maybe ill post it again. The other colors AND the kit are still avaliable.

i m not asking you how to mod my car for me; asking the forum members who have more knowledge then me into these sorta things about fitment issues and quality of the product. A lot of replica parts improved thier quality to oem quality so if its the same, why spend the extra money ;) . So i appreciate you helping.

I didn't buy from a dealership. I bought from a website that sells OEM Honda/Acura parts. http://www.handaaccessories.com

As for instructions on how to install:
http://www.handaaccessories.com/civic/civicfoglights.pdf

And I stand corrected on the switch. Didn't know they still had them. I just knew they didn't make them anymore.

I bought my fogs in January this year.
Thank you so much for all your help!! this is getting better and better. The diy doesn't look to bad, i might have my bf help me a little on it.

the 50 dollar difference between ebay and oem is a lot but my car is clean and i wanna keep it that way. so i ll prob end up doing oem.

if you guys have pictures of oem vs ebay that would also help a lot.

n plus the when my homie installed his ebay fogger he had to do some rigging with the wires,so that jus tells you if its not OEM dont get,but dont get me wrong i aint a hater but,its taking chances on buying aftermarket, especially with fogger, headlights, tailights and others things.

flip8speed, you need to keep you replies down to one reply box, the posts get out of control and you flood the threads. This is a verbal warning.

By the way, to the OP - the fogs are easy to install, don't worry about it and I'd definetly pitch the extra money to get the OEM ones.

yeah....installation is easy...the hardes part will be finding the 2 plugs that the harness will hook up to...the one by your windshield washer fluid and the one by the pedals....theyre hard to find....ask someone where to find them before you start to make it easier on yourself. and get the oem ones.

get the OEM's bro, i've had so many problems with my DEPO's that i had to rewire the entire harness. Over the 2 years that 'ive got them, i've had over 6 problems with them. Dont go cheap bro, the OEM's aren't really that much more. also fitment is way better on the OEM's
