2000 EX Rear Window Moulding

I bought this 2000 Civic EX with low miles but the moulding around the rear window looks like crap. I tried Back to Black but it runs down the side of the car when it rains and it doesn't last that long anyway. I was thinking of painting it with some Black Bumper and Trim paint but wanted to see if anyone else had one that looked this bad?

clean tape off scuff it and paint it with the sem bumper black

Thanks, I'm going to do unless someone gives me a good reason not to. Sorry about all the pollen in the pictures. I'm in the South and the season is just starting. Looks great on a black car.
