2000 civic ex.....112k miles....Everything was running perfect untul about a week ago and just getting a small miss here and there no biggie thought it might of been just bad gas. Tonight stop at a intersection get ready to go and stalls and will not start back up coasted into a nearby gas station. got it started for a couple seconds but was idiling extremely rough and whenever you press the gas hoping it will help smooth it out at higher rpm it quits again and will not start back up at all. I thought it might be a clogged fuel filter changed that and still the same thing. Motor will turn over just will not start and check engine light has not came on. Any ideas?

I have a few ideas...hope they help bro.....1st, check your plugs and plug wires, next try a different distibutor, finally make sure your timing belt is in good shape and the car didnt skip time or break the belt. Also, make sure your fuel pump is kicking on properly ( should make a brief humming sound when the ignition is turned to the "on" position.) Hope this helps..
