2000 hatch B16A3?

Hey guys , i found a hatch i wanna buy with a B16A3..now i herd this is a usdm motor from a 94-95 del sol? is this true? is it a crappy motor? not a JDM?...the guy said B16A3 OBD 1.... if anyone could give me any info that would be great , thx.

ive never heard anything bad about it in fact im not even sure what makes it diffrent from an a2 maybe we can both learn this and yes it does come from the del sol but i belive you could get it all the way to 97

maybe 10 shy of the jdm but pretty much yes i think its just the intake cam diffrent grab you some skunk to cams you will prolly have 5 more that the jdm

i had a b16a3 in my rex and it was just as fast as any other b16 rex

jdm b16 has 170Hp n 113 Trq.
usdm b16 has 160Hp n 110 Trq.



usdm/jdm b16s r both great engines both very very reliable if taken good care of.

if u wanna get a idea of power... if uve ever raced or been in a 2000 si picture that but a lil faster due to the 2000 HB weighs less then the 2000 SI coupe

i have had a b16 a1,a3 and an a3. they are all the same.
